Chapter 6: Taming a Wild Boy

Lullah
I whispered in Cain's ear "I fancy you too" I've been thinking about it all day. I should have known since he kissed me. I wanted Cain. Not Charlie. Cain. I watched his face go from happy to gobsmacked to over the moon. He picked me up and kissed me and I  kissed him back. " how did tha know?" He asked.
"I get around" I whispered in his ear. Cain was walking me home when I heard a call from behind us. I whipped around. It was Charlie. "GET AWAY FROM MY GIRLFRIEND" screamed Charlie. Oh no...were they going to fight again!?
Cain
I was so angry. Things were going fine but Charlie just had to mess it up. "SHE'S NOT YOUR GIRLFRIEND YOU LARRYBOY"I hollered back at him. The look on Charlie's face was a mixture of anger and disbelief. How could he say that after what he did!? I charged up to him so that we were face to face. "She IS my girlfriend" he muttered to me. "NO. SHE. AIN'T" I scowled. Just then Lullah burst in between us. Using her arms to hold us apart. I didn't want to hurt her so I backed off. She smiled at me "thank you ca..." but she didn't finish her sentence. Charlie grabbed her by the arms and shook her "ARE YOU STUPID!? I AM ALL THAT YOU NEED!!!" He screamed. He threw her down onto the ground, tears rolling down her cheeks. I look over at her but Charlie hit me over the head. I blacked out.
Tallulah
I glared at Charlie and he smiled back at me. "Quickly. He's gone now" he said reaching a hand out to me. I hit it away and ran up to Cain. I checked his pulse. He was okay. Charlie grabbed me and pulled me off of him. "I said...LETS GO!" He yelled. I screamed at him "LET ME GO!!!! WE ARE OVER!!!" A look of terror filled his face, then sadness "oh" he said. He walked over to Cain. " GET AWAY FROM HIM!" I yelled " you've done enough." He looked heartbroken but he left. I dragged Cain up the hill into the barn. He was still breathing. I called The Sisters. I had to get help.
Cain
I woke up to the sound of Seths voice. "He's awake!!!" He yelled. "Seth?" I asked.
"Yes. It's me" he replied
"Where is Lullah" I asked.
"I dunno but I've got to go so bye" he said, and left. I sat up and watched through the window at two birds playing. The owlets! I was watching them when a boy came through the curtain. "Who is tha" I asked. "I'm Ben" replied the boy.
"Huh? I don't think I know you?" I asked
"You don't. But I had to bring you this." He said handing me a letter. "It's from Lullah. she couldn't come cause that Beverly girl threatened her."
" I can understand that but why wouldn't Beverly come then?" I asked
"Oh cause Lullah's friends roughed her up a bit" he laughed.
"Ok cool." I replied
"Charlie would've come but.." he started
"Charlie? Why would Charlie come?" I asked
"Cause..." he came closer and lowered his voice "Lullah split up with 'im"
I smiled my twisty smile and looked back out of the window. Finally she was mine. I ripped open the letter it read:
I hope this letter finds you well, I can't come right now because of Beverly. I do want you to know that I am terribly sorry for Charlie's behaviour. I hope you are well for your gig on Friday.

I read the letter over and over again. My favourite line was the last " see ya there, LOVE Lullah xx" she said LOVE!
