Kimmy hated they were moving. Kimmy Bowers couldn't stand they were moving. Moving away from all her friends. Everything she knew. She was pretty. Her red high dimpled cheeks. A licorice hair color to the end of her back. Her skin like milk honey. Those eyes can look deep through any boys soul. A great set of cheerleader legs. She'd been captain of the squad for three years back at her old school. Back at Lakeside High. Home of the Terrain Tiger's. Remembering River Drive. The type that was sincere. The type that was sensitive. Very caring. She couldn't get the fact they were moving out of her head. Smack. A pancake went crashing to the floor. "Eww, gross." "Alright! Way to go freckles!" Angel Sawyer blurted. Freckles dashed under the table devouring the floor smitten pancake. Freckles was their dog. His face was spotted. That's how he got his name. Pretty brown fur. A few white spots on his face. "I'm going to miss you like forever." Angel murmured. With a sour look on her face. Angel is Kimmy's best friend. She lives down the block. On River Drive. She was a little red head with braces. She was always joking. Always smiling. She hated her best friend was moving. Even if it is just on the other side of town. "It's great that I can visit." "How exciting." Chattled Kimmy. "Aww! Come on. Look on the bright side. At least we'd still be close." "Mmm. Sure, but it still won't be the same. How your able to climb in my window, or able to visit anytime without living up the street anymore." Angel let out a sarcastic laugh. Why is she laughing? Kimmy thought. Does she ever take anything serious? Here I am feeling miserable and she's not taking it serious. "We still are going to see each other." "Losers!" Cullen dipped his head around the corner. Cullen is Kimmy's annoying younger brother. He loved to tease Kimmy and her best friend. He's 11. He was a chubby little puff ball. Cute dimples, bright smile, and pudgy little stomach. Broad shoulders with thick bulking ankles. He could really move. He was fast. So don't let the size fool you. Strong little menace. "Pip squeak!" Kimmy chimed. "Jerks." "Little puke." Kimmy heaved a pillow at Cullen. With a smirk on her face. Angel grinned while Freckles hopped on his hind legs slamming the plate of pancakes to the linoleum well polished floor. Soaking up every bit off the plate. "Freckles knock it off." Kimmy murmured. Shoving a foot at him in the air. Angel let out a high shrill laugh. "Hey! So not funny." They both laughed. Picking up the kitchen cushion putting it in its rightful place. "Gosh you're such morons." Teased Cullen. "Zit twad." Kimmy shot back. Cullen rubbed the top of Kimmy head before dashing through the kitchen to the living room. Jumping over the couch before Kimmy could grab him. Racing up the steps. Almost knocking Ms. Bowers to the wall. "Hey hey! Knock it off! You guys never seize to quit do you?" "Ha ha!" Cullen blurted. Pushing pass mom. Mom was wearing a sundress with white girls ankle high. She had a white pearl necklace around her neck. It was brand new. Some kind of red ruby lay in the middle. A dazzling bracelet to match. She was just as pretty as Kimmy. If not prettier. She could blend in with Kimmy's high school classmates. But what good would that do now? Their moving. Mom's voice was soft. But if needed firm. Her hair was swinging as she ballerina danced down the stairs. I see why Kimmy's hair is that way. Mom's eyes were full of joy. A sparkling twinkle in her pupils. Her normal get up. Boxes were propped against the door. You could see the U Haul through the shatter proof window. Kimmy shrugged. Knowing it was time to move. Angel stayed until the movers loaded the truck.
