Gradient POV
Pj and I were taking a walk. I felt mad at him still which is why mama said we should.
It was silent and awkward for a few minutes.
"Y'know...I really am sorry." He said.
"I know. I just.... I don't want to go back. Today was... awful." I said.
We were stopped by two men. One with a hole in his skull, eyes red and pupils small. His smile was creepy as it hooked from cheek to cheek.
The other was slimmer, a black shirt with a upside down blue heart. His eyes were purple and despite it being thirty degrees he wore tight jean shorts, fish net leggings, and black boots.
"Hi kiddies~" the purple one said.
"Hello..." Pj replied
The other one had his hand behind his back.
"We know your parents. Why don't we take ya home? Safe and sound..." the creepy one said.
I don't know what it was but his voice was so unsettling. So scary. I was shaking as it echoed through my mind.
"Psh. Yeah right. Ma would've shown us who you are." Pj said.
"Inky hasn't shown you us? Oh, how peculiar. We're very close." The purple one said, giggling.
I rushed Pj the other way and we got home. He said not to tell mama or Dad about that. Or we won't be able to go for walks anymore.
I agreed but, I still felt scared by that voice... deep and husky.
It sounded like if uncle Zephyr were to smoke. Which he does. Not often but I've seen it. This could be the start of something bad. I can only hope that I'm wrong.
