Part 35: Comfort

Ink POV
  I got home and Error wasted no time in making me me ramen, putting on x-files, and holding me.
  I already felt a little better.
  "Hey...I know things have been hard for you lately. But you're doing so good. I'm proud of you..."
  I held onto him tighter.
  "I...I feel like they'll hurt you or the kids again... I don't want any of you to get hurt I-it's my fault that happened in the first-"
  He kissed me. I felt calmed. Not by much but enough to momentarily forget everything and focus on him.
  Pj walked out of the room and then turned right back around.
  "Gross!" He said before going back into the room.
  I laughed. Error did to. I then just heard the laugh of all of them at once. Echoing in my head getting louder and louder until...all I could hear was ringing.
  No laughing. No voices. Ringing.
  Error didn't seem to notice. He was still laughing.
  I felt hot tears start to roll down my cheeks. I'm scared. Shaking. That made him look at me.
  He pulled me closer and held me tight. I could hardly breathe but it was oddly comforting.
  The ringing stopped gradually.
  "Shh it's ok! It's ok! I'm here! You're safe! You're safe!" He was crying now as well.

Gradient POV
  Pj came back after leaving immediately because mama and dad were kissing. I chuckled.
  "Ohhhhh shut up." He joked.
  Coco and I went to get soda's for everyone. When we went out though, mama and dad were both crying.
  I hugged mama and dad. They looked at me.
  "G-gradient! I-I'm ok baby. M-mama's ok." She said.
  Almost as if I were a toddler. Still I was scared I've never seen them like this.
  Dad tried to calm down and he succeeded but mama was trying to much to calm me down.
  Coco hugged me. With mama's voice and Coco hugging me I was ok. I'm ok. But is mama?
  She went on like nothing happened. How? How does she do that?

Pj POV
  Coco finally went home and Grey and I played Pokémon for a while. Gradient told me about what happened.
  "...why are you so surprised? With all the shit she's been through I'm more concerned she hasn't reacted sooner." I said.
  "I just...always thought she was...invincible, Y'know?" He said.
  I thought for a moment.
  "I dont think this'll change anything. Just ignore it."
