Error POV
Coco soon left and it turned night. I made dinner and made sure that Inky ate all of it.
She seemed to be thinking. Thinking about something that scared her.
I know because of the shape of her eyes.
"What's on your mind?" I asked.
She took a second to answer.
"I-I...I keep thinking about Lust and Horror." She said, her voice breaking.
I held her hand.
"Honey they're gone...they can't hurt you anymore."
"I-I know... I just keep thinking how...how bad it was... I...I..." she started crying.
I quickly got up and held her. She silently sobbed into my hoodie. I just held her so she'd know I'm here.
"It's ok...it's ok Inky." I said silently.
"I know..." she mumbled, wiping away her tears.
When she was calm it didn't take long for her to fall asleep.
I stayed up all night just to make sure she was ok. I had to drink coffee but I didn't care. She was so upset.
I think the kids being away made her even more anxious but they should t have to deal with this. Not yet.
I smiled. She looked so...perfect.
Moonlight shining on her face, in a death like sleep. Yet I know even the slightest sound or move could wake her.
I accidentally dropped my phone and she jolted awake.
I rushed to her side and held her.
"...why are you still awake...?" She asked tiredly.
She rubbed her eyes and laid her head on my chest.
"I was making sure you were okay."
She kissed my cheek and told me to get into bed. I did. I still held her and we both fell asleep rather quickly.
When I woke up again she was looking straight at me. I smiled slightly. Then I noticed a fear in her eyes.
"...what's wrong?" I asked.
"T...thinking, again." She replied shamefully.
I brought her closer though it seemed impossible.
"Cmon, lets go visit my mom." I said.
We took Penny with us and started walking.
