𝘔𝘐𝘚𝘚𝘐𝘖𝘕: 𝘎𝘌𝘛 𝘑𝘐𝘕 𝘉𝘈𝘊𝘒"HELLO?!" i exclaim, knocking on the rusted aluminum door of a shady-looking warehouse. "is anyone here?!"
i begin to lose my temper as time goes by. my throat becomes hoarse as i desperately yell. "jungkook, open up! it's me, hana!"
in one swift motion, a rectangular slot inside the door slides open. a pair of doe brown eyes pop up in the middle of the dark opening. bingo.
"hana? what're doing here?" jungkook's familiar voice questions. despite how hard he's trying to hide it, jungkook is definitely freaking out.
"it's been three months and i still don't know anything about jin's death, officer! i'm desperate, okay!" i explain, trying to act as hysterical as possible. "i went down to the police station and specifically asked for you so i could ask some follow up questions about the case. they told me to come meet you here."
the metal door suddenly swings open. a distressed-looking jungkook appears beside the door frame, staring at me intently. his dark hair has gotten longer and there are now dark circles underneath his eyes. time has not been kind to him. jungkook is dressed in all black, appearing very intimidating. nevertheless, i maintain my innocent appearance.
"the police station told you to come here?" jungkook asks incredulously, maintaining his grip on the door.
"yes! now please, do you have any new information?" i plead, staring at jungkook with an innocent gaze. however, he does not seem to fall for it.
"come here," he huffs roughly, grasping my arm and yanking me inside.
just in the nick of time, i manage to drop a small piece of wood between the door and the frame, disabling it to close completely. this goes unnoticed by jungkook, who is currently dragging me inside the dimly-lit building. i complain and cry for help, but it's no use.
at least to jungkook it appears that way.
next thing i know, i'm standing inside a dark room with a single, dangling light bulb from the ceiling.
"pat her down," jungkook orders, releasing his grasp on my arm. out of the shadows appears a man whom i instantly recognize: park jimin.
the brunette walks over to me and begins to pat down my sides. "what the hell is all of this, jungkook?" i question, still playing the innocent card. jimin soon finishes patting me down, giving jungkook the all-clear.
"tie her down, hoseok," jungkook demands. jung hoseok soon appears out of the shadows as well, coming over to me and forcing me to sit down on a cold chair. he grabs a couple of ropes and ties my back, legs, and hands against the metal chair.
hoseok looks at me once he's done. a knowing gaze passes between us as he returns to his normal height.
"now that you're rendered useless, tell me," jungkook taunts, walking over to me and raising my chin with his index finger, "how did you find me?"
"more importantly, you need better security, jeon."
jungkook removes his finger from underneath my chin to find the source of the voice. standing confidently at the entrance of the room are taehyung, namjoon, and yoongi. i smile at the sight of them together.
the plan worked.
"we're a bit understaffed," jungkook retorts, crossing his arms threateningly.
"'understaffed' as in everyone left your organization because you're a terrible leader? oh trust me, i know all about it," taehyung smirks, making eye contact with both jimin and hoseok.
"what the fuck is that supposed to mean?" jungkook spits, trying to act tough underneath his growing fear.
"you guys know what to do," taehyung says, flicking his hand to give the all-clear.
with that single sentence: all hell broke loose.
jimin ran up to jungkook and kicked his legs out from behind him. "what the hell, jimin?!" jungkook screeches in fury.
jimin holds jungkook down by the shoulders, but he's too strong for him and begins to rise. noticing this, namjoon runs over and helps tie jungkook up.
meanwhile, hoseok unties all of the ropes that he had previously wrapped around me. "long time no see," he cheekily comments, successfully untying me from the chair. i smile at him while i swiftly stand behind taehyung.
"nice job, sis," taehyung acknowledges, nudging my side slightly.
"don't even mention it. it was your plan after all... bro," i beam at taehyung.
for the first time in three months, i actually feel... comforted. who would've known that it would take place in a secret mafia base while its leader is being taken down.
jimin and namjoon, with the help of yoongi, raise a screaming jungkook from the ground and tie him up against the now-empty chair.
taehyung approaches jungkook with a smirk on his face. "how does it feel to finally be defeated? to be betrayed?"
"what the fuck guys?!" jungkook yells at jimin and hoseok, his face growing redder by the second.
"don't worry, jungkook. i was very confused at first as well," i taunt him.
"shut up, you meddling bitch," jungkook spits at my face.
"don't you dare call her a bitch."
as i wipe my face clean, i glance to the side to find the voice's source. my heart suddenly skips a beat and my breath is caught in my throat. my eyes must be deceiving me as they stare at a face so familiar, yet so foreign. a face that i have not seen in three months. yet, there he is.
kim seokjin.
