ETTA

The smell of pizza had begun to settle in the small space of the studio. Etta didn't really mind it, there were worse stenches in the world, and it was kind of nice to be in a different environment completely. Finally, something had changed.

Calum had eventually managed to persuade Etta to come to the studio, she'd been extremely sceptical at first, she didn't really know the first thing about music, but the man was a genius, and it wasn't long, maybe about six hours, until Etta's first ever song, Don't Wanna Think, was fully recorded to the point of perfection (Calum's words, not hers).

Now, after a pizza break, the girl was laying on her back, hands resting on her bloated stomach, a look of content on her face as she listened, eyes closed, to the sound of Calum strumming a random tune, one she'd never heard of before, yet automatically wanted to hear more of, because it was beautiful.

"That's the fastest I've ever seen a song get finished in my life." Was what Calum had said, ten or so minutes ago. Etta hadn't offered a proper reply, instead she'd just hummed, and kept her gaze fixated on the ceiling. She'd done more talking in the last six hours, than she had in the past three weeks, and she was exhausted. It sounded ridiculous, but it was the truth.

Despite her tiredness, Etta felt a bit better after her hard work, hearing her song finally come to life felt like a bit of weight had been knocked off her shoulders. She felt like she could breathe easier, like her head wasn't as foggy. Her mind felt slightly emptied, and she wanted to empty it further.
