Sara Patton and her Messed Up Life

The Project

I went to my next class, it was language arts and one if my favorite classes! I had it with Alice and Riley but Cole was also in it. Mrs. Valentine was really nice and she totally gets us, she actually knows about my crush and is always trying to help me out, that's why today I was hoping that we wouldn't be grouped together.
Unfortunately, today was not my day because, of course, we were doing a project in pairs. I begged Mrs.V with my eyes, but I guess she didn't notice because Cole and I were paired together anyways. "Hey!" he said, "Hello." I replied flatly. "So about homecoming..." he started but I cut him off "Ah. I don't want to here it, I just want to get this over with." "Ok." He said although I could tell he wasn't happy about it.
"Today," Mrs.V said, "we will be doing a project on different genres, you will write about it and make a play with the genre. I will pass out papers with your instructions and genre on it, this will be do in 2 weeks." and then she passed out our papers. When she got to me and Cole she handed us our paper and winked at me, oh great. The paper said Romance in bold letters oh great I thought, this was going to be fun. "Cool!" Cole said, he was smiling his cute, cheeky smile that I love. Ugh, keep it together Sara!
We worked on it some more in class, but we still had a lot to do. "We should probably get together sometime to finish this..." He said, wait did he just ask me out? "Are you asking me out?" I asked. "Maybe." He smiled cheekily. "I'm sorry Cole, but you ask me to homecoming, then you ditch me for Kaylee and now you're asking me out again?" I exclaimed. "Woah! I did not ditch you for Kaylee! I was looking for you because I knew one of your favorite songs were playing when she practically attacked me and forced me to dance with her!" he said angrily. "Oh," I said, "I'm sorry, I didn't know," "It's fine," he said, all the anger draining out of him, "so we should get together though to finish this project." "Yeah, but not as a date, I still need to get to know you better." I stated. "Fine by me." he said smiling. "Stop smiling! You're killing me!" I stated. "Well I defiantly wouldn't want to that..." he teased with a smirk. The bell rang "See ya later, alligator!" I said and he replied " In awhile, crocodile."
The end of the day came really quick and Cole met me at my locker. "Ready to go?" he asked "Yep!" I replied and headed outside. Jared was waiting for us. "Who are you?" he questioned glaring at Cole "I'm Cole Jacobs." He smiled and held out his hand but Jared continued to glare at him. "Jared, he is working on a project with me, I went to homecoming with him and there is nothing going on between us." I stated slowly, making sure he understood. "So you're the guy who ditched my sister!" he shouted. "JARED! Snap out I it he explained everything to me, there is nothing to worry about!" I stated, leaving no room for argument. "Fine," he gave in "but if you hurt my sister again, you're going down." he said "Yes Sir!" Cole replied before jumping in the car. Jared glared at me and I mouthed "Thank you!" "Yeah, yeah." he replied before getting in the drivers seat while I sat next to Cole.
When we got to the house we sat down on the couch. "So how's your plan going?" he asked "What plan... ohhh that one." I replied, I honestly forgot about the plan. "I guess it's going good, there's no more rumors about us!" I said. "That's great!" he replied, then after a few minutes said, "Well, if you want to get in their nerves, I could ask you out in public..." he said "You know, as a plan/acting." he said quickly afterwards. I thought about it for a second then replied "What a fabulous idea! That would so get on there nerves!" I looked at him and said "You're a genius!" then attacked him with a hug. "Ok, then tomorrow during lunch I'll make a big show of asking you out in front of the Plastics!" I smiled at him. "Ok but we really need to finish this project." I said. "You've got it, Boss!" he replied smiling. "Stop smiling!!!" I yelled laughing and he just kept on doing it only he made even more cheeky "What? Am I killing you?" he replied innocently. I glared at him before hitting him with a pillow. "Lets just get to work."

So, what do you think of the chapter? I couldn't let Sole (my ship name for Sara and Cole) die!! But they didn't quite get together... 😏😏 I'm excited to write the next chapter and you might meet someone new... but no spoilers! My lips are sealed. Any ways, I hoped you liked this chapter (and the picture which, again, I think us hilarious!)
