It's only been a couple of days, and the plan is working better then ever! Today was actually going to be the day we had our big breakup, but something else happened.
"Jared! Come one slow poke, we're gonna be late!" I yelled up to my brother. "Don't get your panties in a wad, I'm coming down!" He yelled. I rolled my eyes. I got into the passenger seat and waited for him to start the car. "So how's it going with Maya?" I asked. He shrugged but I could see the hint of a smile on his face. He had it bad. "How's your 'relationship' going with Jack?" he asked changing the subject. "Perfect! We're having our breakup scene today!" I sighed happily.
We got to school and Jack was waiting for us. "Hey, Sara." he dead panned. I smiled at him, but he didn't smile back. "Hey babe!" I looped my arm with his but he took his arm out. I have him a quizzical look, by now there were a few people watching. "What's wrong?" I asked my eyes wide. "Nothing." he said, then winked at a cute girl walking by. I let my eyes go wide and my nostrils flare. I punched him in his arm "You did not just wink at that girl!" I raised my voice. He shrugged, "So what if I did?" he asked. "You can't just go around flirting with other girls when you have a-" I stopped mid-sentence, someone was clapping. Then I saw the red hair of Belle Hamilton as she pushed through the big crowd.
"Wonderful acting! How about we give them a round of applause, every one?" She smiled evilly as she talked to the crowd. "What are you talking about?" I asked her, although I had a feeling where this was going. "Oh, sweetie! Do you not remember how good of friends we were when we were in elementary school? We told each other Everything." She drawled "What does that have to do with anything?" I asked "Well, if you don't remember, then let me fill you in." She said "In elementary school, Jack Levi and Jared Patton had been friends for a long time, such good friends, Jack was like a brother to Sara. They made a deal that they would pretend to be a couple to make people they liked jealous." She told the whole crowd. "How do you know that this is a deal and we weren't really dating?" I asked "Because of him." she said simply pointing in the crowd to a boy with dark, curly hair. "The boy you were trying to make jealous, my boyfriend." she smiled smugly.
I looked from her to Cole, I was in shock "Boyfriend?" I whispered to myself. "I thought you were gonna wait so that we could get to know each other better, were you lying?" I asked he only shrugged and narrowed his eyes. "Things happen, Sara. Plus, I don't date people who try to make people jealous. I give you a chance, but it's expired." He hooked onto Belle's waist and pulled her close. I couldn't believe my ears, it was like Belle brainwashed him.
My group of friends came rushing through the circle. They, with Jack and Jared, escorted me out of the circle of people, all standing with their mouths open. My group continually tried to talk to me but all I could hear was the laugh of my mortal enemy and my crush.
The day went by in a blur. I only talked wen talked to. I kept my eyes on the clock and didn't even attempt to make myself feel better. When I got home I went straight to my room with the girls behind me. They closed the door. It was silent, until I heard Riley whisper "I told you so." Alice glared at her, "I told you so is not the thing to say right now!" Selena scorned. "Sorry!" Riley said quickly. "It's fine," I spoke up, "I should've listened to you in the first place. It's just I never thought Cole would do something like that to me!" I sniffled, now that I started, I couldn't stop myself from letting my feelings pour out, I was crying now. I heard the ding-dong of our doorbell followed by the muffled sounds of footsteps and voiced coming up the stairs. Then they were at my door, listening "I don't know it sounds like crying," I heard one voice, sounding like Jared say. "Yeah, and she has all her friends in there, it would probably get to crowded." Jack said, Jared scoffed "Have you seen the size of that girls room, it could easily fit like 5 baby elephants." Jared said "Just go in, ya knuckleheads!" A female voice said.
The door opened to reveal two wide eyes teenage boys and a sympathetic Maya. "Oh sweetie!" She said rushing in and giving me a bear hug "Are you okay?" she asked. I nodded. Jared and Jack came over "So how do you want us to beat him up?" Jared asked "I could have the hockey team ambush him with our hockey sticks!" Jack put in. I giggled a little and shook my head. Guys, it's okay! I just want to stay in here for a little bit." I told them. I was about to say something again when Alice spoke up.
"Hey looks like you guys have new neighbors!" Alice removed her head from my window "And they have a son who's really cute." she winked. The girls piled up by the window and gasped. "Alice isn't lying, he is really cute!" Jennie said, Taylor nodded her head in agreement. My curiosity got the better of me. I got up and looked out the window to see what this new boy looked like.
My mouth dropped to the floor, he was gorgeous! He had blonde hair styled to go up, he was in between pale and tan and had blue eyes. I couldn't help but stare. I turned around to find the girls holding makeup, a curling iron, my new floral dress and tan flats. I started backing up, but try came at me in full force.
I came out of my room to e inspected by Jack and Jared. They looked me over and thought for a second. "Not to short but not to long. The cutout bows in the back are good, the makeup is done nicely so you don't look like someone painted over your face blind folded and the shoes are good. I approve!" Jared said. Jack raised an eyebrow at his best friend before turning to look at me. "To put it in simpler words, you look incredible!" He complimented "Now go get em girl!" Maya yelled.
I ran outside and across the street to where the FedEx truck was parked. Just as I came up the cute boy came around the corner. He looked started at first but quickly recovered and smiled. "Hi! I'm Sara Patton, my brother and I live across the street." I pointed to our house "Oh, cool.I'm Tyler Long." he said with an accent that I could only guess was Australian. "Where are you from?" I asked just to make sure. "Sydney, Australia." He answered "Cool! Well do you need any help Unloading?" I asked, Tyler looked around, "Um, yeah sure." He said, turning around to get a box out of the truck I quickly turned around to give a thumbs up to the window I knew everyone was watching from before facing back to the truck where I took a box from Tyler's hand and started walking to the house.
I set the box down as a middle-aged man came out of the kitchen, he had blue eyes like Tyler's and blonde hair with streaks of grey, I guessed he was his dad. He smiled at me a little confused so I held out my hand. "Hi I'm Sara Patton, my brother and I live across the street!" I told him, he shook my hand and smiled "Hi Sara, I'm Kyle, Tyler's dad." I smiled back and we went out to get more boxes.
I talked to Tyler and learned a lot about him. He gets his drivers license this month, he's a sophomore, he plays the guitar, likes to act and the best part of all, he's going to East Wood High! I told him some about myself and we were finished in no time. "So one of our friends are having a welcome party for us on Saturday, want to come?" he asked "Sure!" I answered with a big smile O waved to him as I crossed the street an walked inside my house to be trampled by everyone. "Tell us everything. NOW!" Julie demanded. I laughed and sat down on the couch. Not living out a single detail.
Yay you didn't have to wait like a month for an update! So I bet you guys hate Cole right now 😏 I pretty much hate him too! Tyler is very important so don't forget him! Hope you guys liked the chapter! By the way, I made the picture so that's why it's bad, but at least you know what Tyler looks like 😂😂! Cheerio!
