Welcoming Party

As soon as I woke up I looked out the window. Yes, his car is still there! I got ready in record timing and ran across the street. I was almost to the door when I tripped over a step and fell. I heard someone chuckle above me and looked up, "Watch you step, don't want to fall and get hurt do you?" I heard Tyler tease. "Fall? Pff, I didn't fall I was just making sure the Gravity was still in check here!" I looked around, "Yep, still good." wow, I'm smooth.

I saw a girl standing behind him with an amused look on her face. Tyler caught me staring and quickly introduced the girl, "Oh, Sara, this is my sister, Graciana." He pushed Graciana forward. "Hi, I'm Sara." I told her, her blue eyes studied me before she gave a small wave. "So I was wandering if you guys wanted to carpool to school?" I asked. Tyler looked to Graciana who nodded before looking back to me. "Sure we'd love to!" He smiled at me, "Awesome! Just follow me!" I said as I lead them to my house.

Jared was waiting for me inside the house when we went in. "Hi, I'm Tyler Long, you must be Jared." realization struck in my brothers eyes "Oh, so you're the guy who Sara was obsessing over with the 'dreamy eyes' and 'muscle-" I slapped my hand over his mouth and forced out a laugh "What my brothers means is you looked tired and strong because of all those heavy boxes and all. And, um, by obsessing, well, Jared tends to get a little mixed up about things." I lied. Jared rolled his eyes "Whatever you say, Sar, now let's go unless you want to be late." He said walking out the door. I sighed and followed him.

I was about to get in the front seat when I felt a hand on my shoulder. "Why don't I sit up here, I tend to get a little claustrophobic." She glances at Tyler and winked at me. I smiled at her before climbing in the back. It wasn't long before we got to school. I wasn't surprised to see everyone staring at me. I sighed and kept walking with Tyler by my side. "Why is everyone staring at you?" He asked I just shook my head and kept walking. I'm sure some of the stares were because I was walking with an extremely cute boy, but I'm pretty sure the others were just pity stares.

I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw something taking place in front of me. Cole was putting a beautiful necklace around a smiling Belle's neck. She caught me staring and smirked, turning around to Cole, she whispered something. Cole turned around to look at me and I saw a glint flash through his eyes. In a swift movement he turned Belle to his side a planted a quick kiss on her lips before walking away with her.

I could feel the tears burning at the side of my eyes. The wound that they made was still fresh. Tyler who had been watching me the whole time took my hand and squeezed it before leading me into the school. I smiled, trying to ignore the spark I felt when he touched my hand and thought instead how extremely grateful I was that he was by my side right now.

I walked with Tyler to the Cafeteria. I so badly wanted him to hold my hand again but put it in the back of my mind. I'd only just met him! I led him and Graciana to our table where our group was already waiting. Even River and Chad were there! Alice saw me approaching and when she looked to my side, I saw her eyes light up.

I sat sandwiched between Tyler and Julie as Graciana went and sat in the open spot by Alice. I saw a familiar look in my best friends eyes as they studied the boy beside me. Tyler gulped as they studied him. Graciana messed with a pink strand in her blonde hair as she smirked at her brother. Alice smiled, "So, Sara, who's this?" She asked, I was about to answer when two of Kaylee's groupies, Tessa and Delia sauntered over. "Hi bestie!" They chorused to me, their blue eyes studied their new prey. Delia twirled her straight hair around her finger, "So who's this cutie?" She asked, Tessa bobbed her curly blonde head eagerly, waiting for an answer. "Um, I'm Tyler Long." he said unsurely. "Oh, look, Tess! He has blonde hair like us! Everyone loves a couple who has the same hair color." Delia smiled.
