now, hyunjin never considered himself as the type to go out and party, whether it be local high school parties, fancy cocktail parties - typically held by his parents - or even casino nights, but somehow that was exactly what hyunjin found himself doing, for the second night in a row.

it's not like hyunjin wanted to, he definitely never thought about going to the clé casino more than once, he figured he'd be done after last night, but no.

after seungmin left, hyunjin stupidly did not put the number in right away, he figured the ink would stay on all night, so he made his way over to where he saw minho and jisung at the slot machines - they decided not to play card games as they're all scams.

he enjoyed himself, yeah, watching jisung curse at a machine when he didn't get anything from it was fun. he enjoyed his time with his friends, for sure, that doesn't mean he wanted to go back.

almost idiotically, hyunjin took a shower as soon as he got home, forgetting entirely about the number written on his wrist from the cute boy he met earlier that night.

by the end of his shower, all hyunjin saw was the last two numbers and a faded heart on his wrist.

he immediately started cursing to himself, realizing he'd have to go back to the casino to hopefully find seungmin a second time.

he was lucky it was the weekend, as he knows his parents would never allow him out on a school night.

he dressed himself up in yet another button black shirt, but this one was made of a thin sheer material which made his chest visible to anyone, he matched it with white dress pants.

and here he was, standing by the bar with jisung as the annoying smaller was ranting about a guy he hung out with last night after minho and hyunjin left.

"he bought me a drink, yeah, but he bought me a miller lite, like who does he think i am? drinking miller lites, that's fucking gross! i may seem easy but not miller lite easy."

"wow, he really bought you a miller lite, crazy." hyunjin really couldn't match the enthusiasm in jisung's voice as jisung ranted, all he could think about is how minho would feel about this conversation.

"right! he must be insane, trying to pick up guys with a miller lite. anyway, when's minho getting here? we've been here for like thirty minutes, i miss my best friend." jisung pouted, taking another sip of his drink, which was not miller lite.

"i can text him again." hyunjin pulled out his phone and sent a quick wya text to minho, staring at his phone for a second before putting it away.

minho:
hey sorry tell sung that i prolly can't make it tonight, got a big project due soon, i need this grade badly

hyunjin
aight, dw abt it, i'm sure jisung won't be that upset

hyunjin put his phone away and looked up at jisung, he was casually talking to a male who sat on the other side of the him.

"jisung," hyunjin tapped his shoulder causing jisung to whip around, a huge smile on his face, "minho can't make it tonight, he's got a project to work on for school."

"what?" the bright smile transformed into a small pout, "why is he so lame? is his project more important than his best friend?"

"he said he needed a good grade, sung, it's fine though, we can still hang out together."

"you just want s' number, you don't want to hang out with me." jisung frowned, he looked away from hyunjin and back to the guy next to him.

next thing hyunjin knew, jisung was walking off with the clearly older male leaving hyunjin alone at the bar.

he looked around, confused on what to do now, he figured if he wanted to find seungmin he'd probably have to go into the card room, as according to jisung, that's where he spends all his time.

so that's where he went, he wanted to find seungmin and leave as soon as possible. though, when he entered the card room, he saw seungmin in what seemed to be an intense game of what looked like go fish, but clearly wasn't because why would professional gamblers play go fish?

he made his way over to seungmin and stood to the side, like many others, to observe the game. he didn't really understand what was happening, really, it looked like an adult go fish, so he just looked at seungmin and watched how the boy contorted his face in an obviously fake frown, his eyebrows creating a small crease to give a false sense of hope in the three others playing.

seungmin looked up from his cards to see hyunjin already staring at him, he flashed a quick smile and turned back to his cards, a single hand blindly reaching out for hyunjin's arm, pulling him closer so hyunjin was right next to seungmin.

hyunjin slightly blushed at that but didn't object as he stared at the game happening, he was still very confused but decided not to voice his confusion as it seemed everyone around the table knew exactly what was happening.

it was over in no time, seungmin winning all of the betting money and pushing it all in his bag before promptly standing up. he grabbed hyunjin's hand as he walked away, most likely leaving the dark place.

"you never texted me." seungmin said, once outside of the card room. his hand intertwined with hyunjin's as they made their way out of the casino.

"i accidentally washed your number off, i came back today to see if i could get it again."

a laugh sounded through hyunjin's ears as they exited the clé casino, seungmin turning towards hyunjin, "give me your phone, wouldn't want you washing it off again."

hyunjin's smiled as he handed his phone to seungmin, slightly cursing himself for washing it off, though slightly glad as he got to see seungmin in his element of concentration.

"i only came tonight because you never texted me, i was waiting all night for you, hyunjin." seungmin said, handing the phone back to hyunjin, "i figured you either lost my number or you just didn't want to text me."

"i did want to text you! i just put off putting your number in my phone and then i forgot about it until after i showered." hyunjin explained, slight desperation in his voice, he didn't want seungmin to think he purposely didn't message him, especially after hyunjin had a tiny breakdown about it last night.

"i'm just playing, hyunjin. i need to get home but i'm glad i got to see you tonight. take care, yeah?" seungmin gave hyunjin a small kiss on his cheek as a car pulled up, hyunjin assumed it was seungmin's personal driver - as hyunjin had one on his way too.

he watched seungmin's car drive away, a small smile graced his face as he waited for his own driver to show up.
