Rose~
I climb down the ladder to my building, once again having control of my own limbs. I walk over to my window and slide it open, careful not to make a sound. I sit on the ledge and slide inside, turning back towards the window.

I softly closed the window, listening for any sign of movement. With Venom's hearing, I could hear my parents slow heart beats. But I also hear a third heart beat. With a feeling of dread I slowly turn around.

"Do not be afraid. Do not mention that I am with you." Venom says.

A light at my desk clicks on and a man is revealed, sitting on my chair in the shadows. His face is hidden in the dark by a cloak. He reaches inside of the cloak and pulls out a gun, and my heart speeds up. Placing it on the table, he starts talking.

"It's about time we meet," the man begins. "You were surprisingly difficult to find Ms. Rose."

"What do you want?" I ask, trying to keep the tremble out of my voice.

"I will explain as much as you need to know soon, but as a precaution, I'd like to warn you. Try to flee out the window you came in and you will find a nice large hole through your shirt."

I turn around and look out finding nothing out of the ordinary. Except for... A red light in the distance. From a window. I've seen enough movies to know what that means. I slowly look down and find what I dreaded: a red dot carefully held on my chest. Oh shit.

"Do not panic. I am here"

"Then why aren't you doing anything?!" I think towards Venom.

"This is a bad man," Venom begins.

"Yeah, no shit!" I think.

"He can not know that I am here or he will kill you and then me."

I turn back around and see the man watching me silently.

"Understood?" The man asks.

I nod in response.

"Perfect! Let's get down to business then. I need to get some information from you. We can do this the hard way," he says, patting the gun on the table, "or the easy way. You choose."

"What do you want?" I repeat.

"Long story short, my boss is searching for something that belongs to him. It- somehow- found its way over here, and the trail stops. Now you're probably wondering 'where do I come in?' Well it just so happens that when someone comes in contact with this 'thing', they have some unusual symptoms. We noticed through your apartment camera that you have had those symptoms about a week ago."

"Wait how did you access the camera?" I ask.

"Ms. Rose, when you are desperate enough for something, nothing- nothing at all can stop you from getting it," the man says, leaning forward in his chair.

I remain quiet.

"Now. I'm sure you know exactly the symptoms I'm talking about. Care to explain how you got this 'thing' and where it went?"

I stay silent, my stomach roiling in panic. I back up, my leg hitting the edge of the bed.

"Do not mention me."

A minute passes while I try to think of something to say to throw him off. Suddenly, the man clicks his tongue.

"It's a shame Rose. I didn't want to have to do this already," he says, pulling what looks like a silencer from his cloak. He screws it on the gun and before I can say anything, he points the gun and fires a silent bullet at my leg.
