Hey all! Just passed 300 reads! That's exciting! Especially since I didn't think anyone would read it. I'm trying to work through a block right now... I know where I want to go with this story, but I'm not sure how to get there. To throw a bone to anyone who has stuck with this train wreck so far, whoever comments on this chapter first will get to create the main "henchmen" for Samael! You can pick the name, gender, personality, what they look like, weapon of choice etc. Thank you all for reading!

"This is bad" Venom says.

We had been using Venom's excellent hearing to listening in on Peter and Tony talk, and my fears were right: Peter knew about Venom's presence. The good thing though is that they know nothing about Venom.

I lean back on the couch, thinking. Maybe if Venom doesn't come out for a while like last night, they will forget about it and move on.

"They will not forget," Venom says.

Maybe I think.

I look up as I hear the door open and watch as Peter walks out of Mr. Stark's office and shakes his hand.

"Remember what I told you," Mr. Stark says in a warning tone.

"I will," Peter says.

"See you later kid."

"Bye."

Peter looks at me and smiles. I smile back, getting off of the couch and walking beside him.

"How did it go?" I ask.

"It was good. We just had to talk about some intern stuff coming up that he would like me to help with."

"Nice," I say, not really listening.

"Do you think he knows?" Venom says in my head.

No I think, glancing at Peter out of the corner of my eye.

We make it to the elevator and the doors open. We walk inside and the doors close, already starting our rapid drop.

"Be careful what you say around him. He might become suspicious," Venom says.

"I know" I say toward Venom, sighing.

"You alright?" Peter asks, looking at me.

"Yeah," I say, giving him a small smile. We reach the ground floor and exit the elevator. In the lobby a man looks from me to Peter and then gives Peter a thumbs up with a smile, and Peter smiles back as we walk out the door.

"Who was that?" I ask.

"That was Happy. He's kind of like Mr. Stark's right hand man."

"Huh," I reply.

Now in the street, we walk side-by-side, not saying anything. I feel a tingling sensation on my neck as Venom informs me that it is slowly being healed, my throat already feeling better.

"So... do you want to grab some brunch?" I ask Rose. I have been having a weird feeling all morning. A "I'm being followed" vibe. My stomach churns, whether it's from asking Rose to brunch or the weird vibe, I'm not sure.

"Yeah, that would be nice," Rose says.

"I know a cute little place down the street," I say as we turn the corner. I glance behind me, not seeing anyone or anything unusual. I swipe a hand through my hair, trying to get rid of the feeling.

"You ok?" Rose asks.

"Yeah I'm good," I mumble back. We reach the Cozy Corner Cafe and I hold the door open for Rose, checking the street one more time. A waitress greets us and directs us to a table. We sit down, and I glance out the window. Geez quite being paranoid. The waitress sets down two waters and the menus. I pick mine up and check the time. The diner is still on the breakfast menu. I scan the menu, searching for an omelet. I peer over the menu and see Rose looking out the window with a frown. I look back at my menu as the waitress comes back to take our order.

Once she is gone and there are no more menus to hide behind, I fold my hands uncomfortably on the table. This is beyond awkward.

"So," I begin. "Last night was fun."

"It was," Rose says, smiling. I glance down and notice the bruise that was encasing her neck this morning was gone. I frown. Rose raises an eyebrow questioningly.

"Your bruise is gone?" I say, confused.

"Oh yeah, I um... heal quickly I guess?" She replies, also sounding confused.

"I'm gonna go to the bathroom real quick and wash my hands," I say.

"Alright," Rose smiles.

I get up and make my way to the restroom. Walking down the narrow hallway, my stomach churns again, and I start to feel panic. I push open the restroom door and go in, passing a man. The man turns his head as he walks out and glances at me. I stop and turn, standing and watching the door close. Shaking my head, I walk to the sink and turn it on. I splash my face with the cool water and squeeze my eyes shut. I open them, feeling calmer already.

I watch as Peter disappears around the corner on his way to the bathroom after he almost jumped out of his seat. Something's wrong. This whole area feels off. My gut begins to churn with nerves and I notice that Venom is awfully quiet.

What is it? I think.

"Don't panic..." he starts. Now I'm panicking. "But I think the man from last night is here."

My eyes widen and I stare at the table. I glance up and sure enough, a man in all black is slowly making his way towards the door to leave.

"Hey are you okay?" a voice says. I jump and look up, noticing Peter pulling the chair out to sit. I glance back at the door just as the man pushes it open. He turns around taking one last glance around the diner, and his eyes meet mine. He grins, and just like that he's gone. I spin back towards the table, gripping my hands together on top.

Shit. He knows. He knows I am here and not at the hospital getting the stab wound bandaged. He knows Venom is here.

"All good," I smile.

---------------------------------

We spent the rest of the day walking around downtown and shopping at small businesses. After leaving the cafe, Venom told me he couldn't sense the man anywhere, so I felt a little better.

"Today was nice," Peter says as we stand in front of my apartment door. "Yeah it was," I reply.

"Look, I don't know what happened, and it's cool if you don't want to," Peter starts. "But I'm here if you ever need someone to talk to."

"Thanks," I smile. "I might take you up on that offer one day." We both smile, and I shift my keys in my hand nervously.

"I actually need to-" "Rose I wanted to ask-"

We both stop and I gesture towards him, "go ahead" I laugh. "Well um," he starts. I raise my eyebrows and laugh again. "What is it?"

"I was wondering if you would ever want to maybe... go out... sometime?" He ended quietly all the while wringing his hands. "Like a date?" I ask.

"Yeah! I mean only if you want to, cause like... we don't have to if you-"

"Yes I would love to," I smile. "Awesome! That's so great, that's good. Well um I guess I'll see you on Monday then!" he says. "Bye Peter," I say. "Thanks for everything."
