******CHAPTER 21: I've Got Hungry Eyes For You
I was in a war storm.
If I had hackles, they were most certainly raised, my veins were pulsating in their broadest of effects as I watch the door of my enemy's exit come to a close and I glare lowly at it, like a wolf defending his honour. Life was a way, a journey and a time to make many mistakes...breaking his nose beyond repair was most certainly not one of them.
"That bastard needs to be taught a more permanent lesson." Diana says lowly under her breath. We're all facing the exact same directions of once Daniels had came.
It was almost blindly silent after Daniel's intrusion left the atmosphere and the others all seem to be rather pissed off with his entry. She looked just as she did this morning. Only she had an earpiece in her ear and her phone in her hand, with Diana dragging her into the gym with a strong might in her forces.
"Princess, there you are!" Ivan exclaims, opening his arms wide next to me and from the look of it, he's smiling wide as well. Diana smirks as she shoves off her shoes.
Seeing her walk-in, I wished I'd plucked up the courage to ask her for the honour of dancing with her...preferably before Carter had slipped in the way. He had separated Poppy and I that night, it was a severe wake up call and a slap back into reality. If I wanted to dance with her, I'd have to be a man and asked her the traditional way. I wasn't sly enough just to capture her in a waltz the second she's drafted onto the dance floor.
"Come on and join us!" Everdeen hollers, pausing the music. Rosa-belle giggles, letting go of my hand and flinging her shoes off, making her way towards Andrew.
"Why are we having lunch in the gym?" She asked aloud, seeming confused for the moment, I guess I would be too, we weren't known for deciding to intervene and eat in the gym.
"Change of scenery and we're all far too tired to walk all the way back up to the cafe." Carter responds to her question before I can, I gesture for Ivan to slap him on the upside of the head, he merely nudges Carter to shut his mouth.
I blink twice in a slow continuum when she surprisingly walks to take a seat...next to me. I was practically astounded and I smiled wide, chuckling internally as she easily slices the damper es in my mood away with such simple actions that probably weren't even intentional. I didn't care if it was intentional at this moment, I couldn't complain, she'd chosen to sit next to me and that shined a great deal of light into my previously stormy ones.
