Artemis lay on the ground, blood flowing freely from a wound created by a jagged sword. She opened her eyes and her vision swam with darkness from pain and blood loss. She blinked once to clear her vision. She saw many bodies strewn across the ground.

A slow smile broke her pained expression when she saw that the majority of the bodies where the Draugr. As she watched little blue lights appeared in her vision, she thought this was her end but these lights coalesced into small blue winged fairies.

The fairest darted about touching the bodies, the Draugr's bodies returned to Mother Nature in the form of mushrooms while the members of the hunt turned into various flowers.Artemis smiled as one fairy landed in front of her and smiled sadly, a tear on her glowing cheek.

"It's ok, do your duty fair one." Artemis whispered.

The fairy nodded "I will make sure you are the most beautiful of them all great Huntress." And she reached a hand out to touch her cheek. A gnarled hand barely stopped the touch.

"There will be no need for that." A weary voice said. The hand glowed softly and Artemis could feel her strength return and her wound heal, though that hurt enough to let her know she was alive. She turned and saw a one eyed bearded man smile down at her.

"Your thread has not yet been cut. You have much to do." He smiled, rose, and then walked off into the woods. Artemis sat up and looked around. It seemed they had won but many paid the price, she hoped it was worth it.
