Chapter.24

After coming back to Mumbai we both went to our respective places.We had nothing to worry about.No confusions,no inhibitions, whatsoever.
I wanted to concentrate on my Psychology career and him on his Business.We both decided we will consider our theater love for future plans.

I started applying for my job and Manik was already pro with his work so he had nothing to worry about .It had been almost a month since our return and everything was just fine.I was waiting for my acceptance mails from the interviews I had attended but nothing was in my favour..the offices were either too far or for some other criteria which didn't work for me.

Manik said he wanted to meet me at some place and asked me to come dressed beautifully.I was pretty excited as we were meeting after many days.I wore a red and black combination saree which was beautifully made with some sparkly stuff and looked grand,yet casual.I reached the place he had asked me to come on time.

"You are here on time my love." He came behind me and hugged me.I smiled leaning onto him and holding his hands as tightly as I could.We both stayed like that for some time.
"Manik,why are we here?" I asked turning towards him.

"Whoa!! You are trying to kill me with your looks Nandu?You look resplendent,stunning out of the world" he kissed me deeply pouring all his love.
"Ok,so here is the deal I am going to blindfold you and then let you walk holding your hand and then my Nandu,you will love what you will see." He did not give me any opportunity to talk as he kissed me again and then blindfolded me,we started walking.After some 5 minutes I was getting impatient I started to open my blindfold he stopped me.

"Nandu , don't be impatient trust me you will love it." After few minutes he helped me take off the blindfold and then asked me to slowly open my eyes.

I saw a huge mansion which had "Manan Palace" written on it on a huge marble carving along with beautiful statues and a garden.I was flabbergasted.I couldn't talk for some time.

"Manik?"

"Ok I know you have lots of questions.First of all Congratulations on our new house Ms. Murthy,come let's go inside."

We went inside.Inside was more beautiful with extremely new furnishing and the interiors.The ambience was to die for.Extravagant but homey.I had never seen such a beautiful house in my life.We reached the living room where to my surprise my entire family and his Dad and brother were present with a big smile on their face.

My mom,dad and my entire family rushed towards me to hug me.I was confused,they congratulated me and made me sit in front of the Puja ghar and so did Manik.

Pandit ji came and announced that it is the best and right Muhurath for ring ceremony which made me look at Manik with my eyes wide open and jaw dropped.

Manik just smiled at me.

"Our families have talked and we have their blessings.I wanted us to start our new life in a new house with our loving ones and their blessings.This is our traditional way of celebrating our beginning of togetherness for our entire life.Nandini I love you,you are my breath I wouldn't imagine my life even for a moment without you.Please accept my ring and say yes." He put a ring on my finger and kissed my forehead.

When I came out of my shock, I too made him wear his ring and hugged him with tears pooling in my eyes.I hugged him and whispered "I love you more than I can imagine.I accept you for my next seven births Manik.You are the only one for me.Thank you for involving our family in this beautiful start of the journey."

Everyone started cheering for us with claps and whistles.We took our elders blessings.I was thanking my Aiyappa endlessly for making me the happiest woman.Amms was crying more than anyone,she said I was God's special child and so he made me the happiest.I totally agreed.We all had our scrumptious meals and it was decided that we would be getting married in next fifteen days and then we would do a formal Gruha Pravesh in our new Manan abode.We had everything we could dream of.

After everyone left ,Manik gave me the tour of entire house and then he said there was a surprise for me..I wonder how many more surprises I had today.

He had made a separate room for my Psychology practice.He had arranged everything I needed.As I had Masters in that degree I could start my own practice so I had no legal hassles either.I probably cried for nth time today thanking my stars.

"Manik,I don't know what I did to deserve you but I know that we are meant to be together.I am so fortunate to have met you in the most unlikely place of all the places in the world." I smiled and cried holding his hand.

"Nandu,my Nandu, no tears you deserve all of this.This is nothing,you being with me is my most special gift of life which I will cherish for ever.Thank you for disguising as Nandan and entering my life Ms.Murthy." We both laughed on that.

Seems like there was no looking back.Only happy times.
