Chapter 19

Nandini's POV

I stopped him and asked him to continue with his story, we cannot be distracted ,we had things to discuss.So he continued.

" I cleared it to my Mom that I was not interested in Aliya no matter what and I wouldn't want to spend my entire life with her.My Mom dismissed me saying I will change my decision along with time ,she said I was not mature enough to see Aliya was the one where I thought it was complete opposite.So she kept coming to our house like she owned it, she had my Mom's support and my dad didn't care for such petty issues he knew I will handle it.After my MBA I joined the family business and made my dad happy.After that year when I didn't take Aliya seriously and started dating other girls my mom went crazy and started forcing me for marriage.My dad supported me and went against my mom and that was the end of their marriage.My mom still blames me and doesn't accept that their relationship was over long back." He drank some water and I moved back on sofa as I could feel his body heat and I was losing my mind so I had to sit far away from him.He didn't say anything may be even he knew that.He just smiled at me.He took me to the beautiful backyard which was filled with colorful flowers ,this was definitely my dream house.I was so happy so see the beautiful small pond and few ducks and the lotuses floating around ,indeed the most amazing view.

Manik wooed me here almost and he knew it ,his eyes said it all.We sat on the swing right in the middle of the garden.

" I got this cottage when I got the biggest contract for my company my dad helped me with some finances ,but now it's completely EMI free and all mine ,and this is my dream house no matter what I will definitely have my family life here," he held my hand and caressed it.

"So after the divorce,I was staying with my Dad and my Mom had a separate bungalow for her as alimony from my dad.Things were ok I didn't see much of Aliya and I wasn't happy with my dating life either all girls thought I was serious and they were dreaming of getting married to me.But I didn't want to be tied up so early as I had seen a broken family.I stopped dating and was happy with that.My brother came back after finishing his bachelors and he was shocked to learn whatever happened,he blamed my mom and he also stayed with us. He recently moved away for his masters.One day I got a frantic call from Aliya that my mom,her mom and few friends had met with an accident ," he paused and I was so tensed with what had happened " Are they all ok now?" I asked him.

" Yes and No, my mom was driving and she had some broken ribs and fractured leg and few bruises.The worst part she was driving after they had attended some party and she was under the influence of alcohol.Aliyas mom is still in coma." I was speechless ,he looked at me and continued " She is in coma from last ten months ,that was before we joined Gurukul.Aliya blames my mom and she is right.But because money speaks it was treated as a normal accident and my mom is still enjoying her life as a rich entrepreneur with no remorse ,but she very conveniently left that guilt on me ,Afterall Aliya is the one who is affected and her dad is not in picture,she has no one to take care of her and after the accident she was diagnosed with depression.Since I always dreamed of becoming an actor I told my dad I needed a break and wanted to join Gurukul ,I don't know my future in this I don't even know if I will persue my career in this but I wanted a break from all of this drama in my life.My mom very cunningly got Aliya registered here too so that she can come out of her depression.I couldn't do anything.So whenever I just abscond it's because of her ,I just come here and live peacefully." It was all too much for me to digest but I couldn't stop asking him " Why is that you both abscond at the same time.".He chuckled " Oh baby,Don't you see that she has joined there only because I am there ,when I go missing she goes back to my mom whining and crying ,I just ignore all of them and stay here working for my dad remotely.Nobody other than my dad knows about this place,and now you.That night when I got to know you were Nandini ,I had no plans to entertain her ,but she said her mom was doing worse and cried and said she has no one .So I put her in my friend's girlfriend's room that night.After Maddy forced me to join him for vacation I gladly accepted because you weren't there and yet again my mom got hold of all that and she sent Aliya with me,I was scared this girl would take some drastic measures if I come strong on her so I just kept quiet and then I met you at Mangalore ,the rest you know.I don't know how she came to my cousin's marriage as I had not invited her ,my mom must have let her there she just can't see us happy." He said angrily.

"The other night when I messaged you that I wanted to tell you everything,she was there to tell me that her mom was moving her hands and that she wanted to go meet her and was insisting I go with her,but I denied saying I wouldn't go no matter what.She was persistent,so I did the best I could, just escape.I came here and I don't know and dont where she went ,but I wanted to be with you so I called you million times." He finished telling me everything.He took deep breath and said " Nandini ,whatever is going on with us is no joke,I know I have hurt you many a times ,trust me whatever I said is only truth ,eversince I saw that video of you performing I was hooked even before knowing you ,we have very deep connection and I want to be with you ,because its very simple I have fallen for you baby." He looked at me with so much honesty in his eyes.

" I know it Manik ,I know it," I placed my hand on my heart " It hurt so bad seeing you with her always,I know now that you were helpless, " I placed my hand on his chest feeling his heart thumping hard.He continued to stare me ,never blinking ,then grabbed my hand holding my elbow ,other hand of his slid around my waist ,tugging me forward so quickly that I hardly had time to resist.

Then his mouth crushed mine,forced me into the kiss that I was powerless to refuse away from,and I couldn't have ended no matter what.Manik's lips were soft one moment ,rough the next,his tongue dipping into my mouth so sensuously.I gripped his shirt tightly,making him kiss me harder.We had pent up energy and the time we had spent apart ,everything was rushing us in this deep mingling of two souls,there was no stopping now.

Manik was relentless,like a man possessed.May be he was trying to run away from his memories,wanted to to take his mind off his anger,like he needed an outlet.Whatever the case was all I cared was he was mine and I was his.Feeling his lips locked against mine ,his body pressed firm against me.

But I didn't have to time to relax into it and enjoy the moment.He grabbed me around the waist ,tugging me even closer ,lifting me off the swing leaving me nothing other than to wrap my legs around his waist .His mouth never left mine ,neither did his hands ,even when he sat me on the bed ,I realized we were in one of the beautiful bedroom.He leaned further into me ,not letting me move an inch ,his hand tightening his hold on my waist.

The phone rang,startling both of us.I refused to move him away ,clutching his shirt over his shoulders,to keep him in place and focused.

" No" I whispered ,even as he stroked my face and stepped back.

" Manik I am falling for you too" There, I said whatever was needed for him to know.He gave me that thousand watt smile gave me one last kiss and said,

" May be its your family trying to reach you ,talk to them I will be in the kitchen ,I will cook something for us," he left me hot and bothered,I blushed thinking of what we were doing.My spirits were sky high after knowing the truth.

It was Naina and I told her everything ,she asked me to be careful and keep her updated.I joined Manik in the kitchen.
