Chapter 3

Nandini 

This is not I was hoping to happen.This guy comes out of the blue and is my roomate you got to be kidding me.

Aiyappa how would I survive with this egoistic jerk please help me Aiyappa.My inner rambling was crudely interrupted when he made me bump into the wall roughly pushing me so that he could go out.I had to control myself because of my situation but I will surely take my revenge on this guy I can't let him treat like a nobody he doesn't know the " Nandini Murthy ".

I was so tired arranging all my baggy clothes and male stuff I was annoyed at myself I didn't know how all this would shape up but I trust myself and God so hopefully I will get through all of this.My stomach started grumbling reminding me I had nothing for lunch and it was already dinner time.

Freshening up I decided to check the dining area where the food was served for all the students slowly I made my way to the food pantry and I saw very simple dal roti and rice and one curry but that would work for me I was famished so I took a plate and started serving myself.Group of boys entered by talking loudly and my heart started thumping loudly I was so paranoid thinking that someone would just come upto me and recognise that I am a girl.

I ignored them and took a seat started munching on my food happily though the food was not at all tasty it would atleast fill my tummy.

"Hi " I heard masculine voice beside me.

I looked up and and saw a cute guy who was wearing a baseball cap too.

"Hi " I said changing my voice as much as I could .

"I am Dhruv and I am here for acting lessons " He smiled.

"I am Nandan I am here for basically Drama and Direction course " saying that I started stuffing food in my mouth again thinking I should really head back to my room and practice more to be like a dude.

"Hey you look very tiny and literally like a girl Sorry but you look really cute .Don't worry I am straight I am not hitting on you.How old are you and did you join today I haven't seen you ?" He smiled again.

"Ummm I am 19 years old " I shrugged saying whatever came in my mind first.Gosh he is a talkative guy.

"Oh seems like you will be the youngest here I am 21 and boys can really be big bullies here they troubled me so much for a week but I didn't budge so they gave up. You be careful ok because I am anticipating that you could be their next target".

I choked on my food and started coughing 

"Hey are you ok ?" He started patting my back roughly ..I was flabbergasted I moved his hand quickly saying I am ok and drank some water.

I bid him a quick bye and headed towards my room I didn't see my roommate anywhere in the dining room so I assumed he might be in the room.

"Look who is back .Listen I have some rules.You are not supposed to get anyone in this room.If you smoke then do it elsewhere and if you drink....." I stopped him midway "I don't do any of those things and I am definitely not a social person to get people here and so keep your assumptions for yourself " I lashed out at him .

"So the tiny tot speaks not bad.Keep that attitude for yourself I don't like to be cut in between.Now shoo and give me some peace".He turned towards the wall on his bed and closed his face with his duvet.

Good riddance I thought.I turned off the lights and drifted to my peaceful much needed sleep.

"Wake up if you don't want to miss the sessions " someone poked me hard in my ribs making me scream like a maniac.
