Wait (Lashton)

It's been 2 weeks since Big X has called. Everyday after school they would all go to Ashton's house. They haven't found an idea that doesn't result in harming Luke. Every other idea, Ashton has shot down very quickly, he didn't like anyone of them, he needed an idea to get Luke as safe as possible.

While they're discussing, Luke had gotten super close to Ashton's mum, it was very refreshing actually. She felt like his own mum and he really enjoyed every moment of it.

As they were talking, well, more like arguing, the phone rang again. Ashton's dad answered again and put it on speaker.

"So you guys have two choices. I'll text Luke where I want him to meet me and if I don't see him within two hours, I'll come and get him myself. I'll give you until tomorrow. See you soon Luke."

"Great. Now what do we do?" Michael asked. Luke began thinking, what if he lets Big X take him. Couldn't they just follow him or put some sort of tracker on him?

Luke walked up to the table where they all surrounded and stood next to Ashton. "What's wrong?" He asked. "What if...I go with him willingly?" Luke started which got abruptly shot down by Ashton. "Hell no! Are you fucking crazy?"

"I-if I give myself up, couldn't you guys follow or maybe put a tracker on me or something?"

"Holy fuck. We didn't think of this because?" Ricky laughed. "Cause we're fucking dumbasses. And Ashton over here keeps rejecting all of our ideas." Michael remarked. "Yeah you're right I keep rejecting them. They're all terrible." Ashton spat. They all agreed to it, besides Ashton, but they talked like he did.

"No, we're not doing this. I said no. Luke we can figure out another way to do this, I will not let you go out there." He persisted. "Wouldn't that be too obvious though? He would expect that." He added.

"Actually. I don't think he would. Remember that mission that was sort of like this? Remember how we followed, so I don't think he would expect us to be that stupid to do it again." Ashton's dad pointed out.

"Ash, it's okay. I trust you guys. I know you'll do your best to not let anything happen to me."

So Ashton was finally on board, Andrew too. He trusted them just as much as Luke did. So he knew everything would be fine, reckon they were scared, but who wouldn't be?

They were going to put a tracker on him, all they had to do was figure out where. Then they had to set everything up and prepare for 1 last mission. They needed Big X gone, for good this time and they had no problem with doing it themselves.

"Alright, I think we'll call it a day. See you guys tomorrow and you guys know what to do and what to bring."

"Are you okay?" Luke asked as he saw Ashton rubbing his eyes tiredly. "Yeah I'm fine." He spoke, but Luke didn't believe him. He stood up leaning against the wall next to the window so he could look outside. "It's okay if you're not, you can tell me." Luke spoke.

"I said I'm fine!" He snapped harshly and looked away. Ashton lowered his head away from Luke who walked closer to him. He could hear soft sniffles coming from him, so Luke placed his hand on his back. "Ash." He spoke faintly.

"I'm scared baby. I really am. I-I know I shouldn't be, but I can't lose you like how I lost Addy. I can't. If something happens to you then—" Luke cut him off,"Nothing will happen to me. Wanna know why? Cause you'll be there. I'm scared too babe, you're not the only one." He assured and Ashton smiled with a small laugh. "I think that's the first time you called me babe."

Usually, Luke would go to sleep just fine because Ashton would be right by his side, vice versa for Ashton, but neither one of them could sleep that night. So instead, they laid there closely to each other while Ashton gently played with Luke's hair and he fiddled with Ashton's fingers.
