Luke had to go to school the next day, he wouldn't let himself miss finals, so with covering up his bruises that were visible with makeup, Ashton stayed for Luke, only for Luke. He was scared the whole day in school, they only had one class together that day and thankfully it was the last before they got to go home.
Within the period, at every sudden move someone made or he thought he saw in the corner of his eye, he flinched. He couldn't even stop bouncing his leg. Ashton felt so bad that he felt like that all of the day and the rest of yesterday, but was expecting it anyways.
They were going to go to Luke's house afterwards, but if they needed Ashton he didn't want to leave him alone, so it would be better if they just went to Ashton's house. Once getting there, Luke went up to his room, immediately laying down not saying a word. There he went again, staring off into who knows what, that's when Ashton got concerned. More than he already was.
"Talk to me Luke. What are you thinking?"
"I hate how I'm scared every single day Ashton! I-it was fine a week ago when there weren't any phone calls, but I-I have gone through a lot and I wish none of it's happened to me. It's like life hates me and always tries to find a way to torment me!" He yelled with some tears about to break the surface. Luke stood up pacing around the room, Ashton made sure to block the doorway, so he couldn't get out.
"I hate being scared and I hate not knowing if you're gonna come back to me or not!" He cried as he gripped his hair breathing heavily. He walked closer to a wall, launching his hand back, he was going to punch the wall, but Ashton grabbed his fist before he could and turned him around so that he could cry into his chest instead. "Don't hurt yourself. There are better ways to deal with this. Just cry until you can't no more."
Hearing the muffled sobs of the boy he fell hard for hurt him, it hurt knowing there wasn't anything Ashton could do besides comfort him and let whatever he was feeling pass on it's own time. "I just want to sleep. Can you do that with me please?"
"Of course."
Ashton held Luke's smaller ones in his own bringing him to the bed. Luke found his comfortable spot which was placing his head on Ashton's bicep while the older boy laid on his side so that Luke cuddled into his chest.
An hour after hearing Luke's soft snores, Ashton was starting to fall asleep, but the door opened which alerted him awake. "Ash we need you, it's urgent." Michael whispered. Ashton cursed under his breath not wanting to leave Luke, but knew he had to. He slithered his way out of Luke's hold and closed the door quietly, but making sure the windows were locked.
"What happened?" He asked. Ashton's dad pressing the button on that phone again.
"Looks like you guys found them pretty quickly. It also looks like I'm gonna have to take them back very soon. Better watch your backs, I'll be coming."
"What are we going to do with Mason and Shawn?" He asked. "I think we should leave them here because Victor is coming for them and if they're here won't that be easier for us to catch him?" Ricky suggested. "That's a good idea, but that means we can't have Luke here anymore, that will be way too dangerous and that's just an easy grab for Victor."
"I'll keep Luke at his house from now on. Don't take them anywhere." Ashton spoke. They all went back down to the basement to see if they will give them anymore information on where Victor is. But all they got were some snarky comments.
No matter how much they tortured them, they would not crack, so they knew they had to dig deeper. They had to go into their past and talk about their childhood. That's when they started to talk.
Ashton was the one who did the beating, with Michael by his side, he was going to continue, but a voice stopped him. That voice he loves so much, the same one that swears if he doesn't hear he'll die.
"What're you doing down here Luke?! Go back upstairs!" He yelled. "Finish this." He spoke to Michael before going upstairs. "I told you to not come down there." He sternly told him. "I-I know, but I didn't know where you were when I woke up a-and I wasn't expecting Mason and Shawn to be there. A-re you hurting them because of what's been happening?"
"Yes, they're part of the reason why Victor knows so much about us, they're working with him, if you didn't know. They're the reason for everything." He explained. Ashton ran his fingers through his hair stressfully but when he did Luke flinched lightly. Hoping he wouldn't notice since it was barely noticeable, but he did.
"Luke, I would never ever hit you. I know what you saw down there was a side of me you've haven't really seen a lot of and I planned it that way. I'm sorry you had to see that. But I promise I will never hurt you okay?" Ashton brought him in a hug while placing a hand on the back of his head securely.

They found a tracker in Masons shirt, similar to when Luke had his that day. Logan found a way to see where the source of it is, so he found a location just outside of town. They were loading their guns to get ready for whatever it is that came their way. "Do you have to go?" Luke pouted. "Yes baby. I do. I'm sorry. I will be back as soon as I can. Ricky and his dad are staying though. To keep an eye on Mason and Shawn. Don't worry."
Luke sighed sadly as Ashton kissed him goodbye. "Hey. I love you." He spoke before leaving. "I love you too." Then they were gone.
"If it makes you feel better, we can see where they go from this GPS." Ricky spoke from behind him. Luke saw how far they were and where they were going to. It was a pretty good distance in between them, he frowned lightly knowing it's probably going to take a while. "I think it's an hour away."
Luke mentally groaned, but grabbed some food as he watched intently on the screen. Never taking his eyes off it, he made sure they got there and when they did he timed it. Timed how long it would take them to do whatever it was they needed to do.
Then suddenly, their location was gone. Poof. Off the screen with no way to track them anymore. "Ricky!" He called. "They're gone. W-where'd they go?" He asked.
"This shouldn't be happening. Wait." Ricky told him as he got his dad. His dad took a look at the computer, trying to see if it was the computer that glitched out. "What's happening dad? We have to go see if they're okay." Ricky spoke.
"No! Ben specifically told us if their location went off something happened and to not go over there!" Ricky's dad yelled. "W-we can't see what's happening?" Luke asked. "Luke we can't. It's too dangerous, we have no clue what's over there and we need people to stay here and watch those two downstairs. All we can do is wait for them to come back."
They didn't come back. It's been 2 days since everything happened. Graduation was tomorrow, still, no word from them. Ricky's dad said it was best if he stayed with his dad and David at David's house. They also promised to update him if they had anything new.
They had graduation practice that day, something so everyone knew what to do, how to walk on, where to go after it was over, where to wait before it all began. Luke didn't even want to go, there was no point. It was honestly stupid, but his dad made him go. He told him it's what Ashton would want.
Good thing he still had Calum, he told Calum what happened and he was worried too. Michael has been telling him what's been happening, the only reason why Calum hasn't been to Ashton's house was because Michael didn't want to risk anyone seeing him and then they target him. Which Calum totally understood.
Luke knew whatever happened, Ashton was probably fine. They were probably okay. They could handle themselves which worried them a little less.
"Are you ready?" Calum asked. "Ready as I'll ever be."
