Mishti ran towards kuhu and Kunal's car. Kuhu was about drive when mishti came. Seeing a disheveled mishti, kunal stepped out of the car. Mishti immediately hugged him and asked, "tum thik ho na Kunal? I'm so sorry I shouldn't have let you eat the kheer. I'm so sorry.." she rambled. Kuhu stepped forward and said, "Mishti, it's not your fault. #MishtiMahan, mera thunder mat steal kar, I took care of Kunal isliye woh theek hai!" She joked to take mishti's mind away from everything that happened. Kunal laughed and said, "I'm absolutely okay mishti. And please, you couldn't have known. So you can't blame yourself for something you had no idea about. Tum thik ho?" He asked. Mishti looked down and nodded. But before she could say anything, she felt two strong arms wrap around her shoulders and Abir said, "jhoothi! Lekin nanko tu tension mat le. Thik hai nahi, lekin ho jayegi. Tu kuhu ke saath ghar ja. Hum tujhe wahi milte hai. Thik hai? Mujhe toh pata hi tha, tu thik kaise nahi hota? Iski kuhuness tujhe ek minute mein thik kar deti. Right bro?" He looked at kuhu. Kuhu laughed and said, "#AbsolutelyRight bro!" Abir and mishti then stepped back as Kuhu and Kunal drove off with Nishant.
He then looked towards mishti and said, "Abhi jhoot bolna hai?" Mishti looked down and shook her head. Abir grabbed the back of her neck and pulled her closer and tucked her head under his chin. "Mishti, andar jo bhi hua. usme tumhari koi galati nahi hai? Koi bhi nahi. Meri ma..I don't even know what to say that will justify her actions not that anything can ever justify her actions but tum unki ek bhi baat nahi sunogi? Okay? I know you love kunal just as much as you love kuhu and there's no one whom you need to prove it too. Kunal knows it, kuhu knows it, I know it and our families see it. So all those who matter, know. The rest don't matter mishti. Aur rahi baat, Mr Naman Aggarwal ki, he's always been bad news mishti and he always will be. But the fact that despite everything he's ever done to you in the past, you still chose to see the good in him. You had all the reasons not too, but you don't like upsetting others and that's what makes you so beautiful mishti. And I love you more each day because of this." He explained.
Mishti sniffed and said, "okay now I'm crying for a different reason altogether! Tum sach mein perfect ho abir. And trust me, I learn from you. I see you, giving your best to everyone every single day. Never hurting anyone. Abir, pata hai, you are the reason for the smile on so many people's faces. And I'm so glad that I get to spend an entire lifetime with you, baby!" She said.
Abir kissed her nose and said, "mujhe meri taarif sunna bohot accha lagta hai! Lekin, lets go, we have somewhere to be!" He winked and teased.
Mishti laughed and asked, "kahan?" He wiggled his eyebrows at her put elbow on her shoulder and leaned on to her and said, "woh kya hai na Mrs Ajeeb, I don't know about you, but I love romance and I won't let marriage change that. So I've got a date night planned for us! So, what say, kya tum chalogi mere saath?" He smiled.
Mishti rolled her eyes and said, "tumhe Abhi bhi puchna pad raha hai!" He laughed as she raced to the car and said, "I am gonna drive! Chalo!!!" He shook his head and threw the keys at her.
They sat in the car and mishti asked, "yaad hai Abir? When you were arrested because you got into a fight?" Abir looked sheepishly and said, "aur mujhe tumhara angry violent avatar dekhne ko mila tha!" Mishti laughed and said, "so much has changed na? Kya tumne socha bhi tha, that less than one year down the line and after everything that has gone down, we'd be here, sitting in the very same car, married?" Abir looked at her with shiny eyes and said, "pata nahi tha, but hope zaroor kar raha tha. Tum humesha se hi mera past, present aur future thi aur rahogi."
Mishti blushed and said, "kahan jaa rahe hai hum?" Abir looked at her with a puzzled expression and said, "NGO" mishti nodded and drove there.
"Vaise, date and that too at the NGO?" Asked mishti. Abir looked at her and said, "a lot of our journey was because of this very NGO. Fate played its magic at the NGO. And didn't I tell you that I was going to surprise you tonight?" He asked. Mishti nodded and leaned on his shoulder and said, "thank you..." she whispered. He smiled and asked her to open the doors to the NGO.
And it was all dark inside. Abir grabbed mishti's hand and led her to the window, he then pressed a switch and the lights switched on. Mishti gasped and looked up. It felt like they were under a sky full of stars.
"Yeh raat hoti tanha,
Agar tum na hoti mere saath,
Haath mein jab ho tumhara haath,
Toh lage jaise kainaath hai humare saath.
Yeh sitare hai adhoore bina chand ke,
Jaise mein adhoora hoon tumhare bina."
Abir recited. Mishti looked at him with her eyes shining with the reflection of the fairy lights.
"Raat coffee acchi hai, ek coffee ho jaye.." he teased. Mishti hugged him and nodded at him.
He smiled and took her hand and sat on the sofa with mishti resting her head on his chest and both with warm coffee mugs in their hands.
"Pata hai abir, that night? Our coffee might? The day of the stupid party? Tab se lekar aaj tak, I was waiting to have such a night with you. And just like always, without even telling you, tumne meri iss wish ko bhi pura kar diya. Thank you." She said and placed a kiss on his chest.
He chuckled and said, "it was a coffee eventful night na? And I'm glad this made you happy baby!" Abir smiled.
"Vaise, aaj date night kyun?" She asked.
"Because I was hoping that everything would go well and smoothly, lekin I wanted to be prepared. That incase something does go wrong, I wanted your day to end with a smile. And vaise bhi, no matter how much time I spend with you, it's never enough. Plus it's been so long so we spent any time together here at the NGO so I just thought why not. And you loving it so much, that's just a bonus." He explained.
"I love you Abir. And no matter how many times I say it, it's never going to be enough. My life shines just as bright, because you put the stars in my sky. Mera day kitna bhi legendarily kharab kyun na ho, all it takes is one hug from you to make it the best day ever." She said.
"And I'll keep doing that. Always mishti. Because no matter what who stays and who leaves, you'll always find me. Right here." He promised.
And so that's how they spent the night together at the NGO. Completely lost in their own world. But Abir had a feeling that this wasn't over. Not yet. And he also knew that mishti was still pretending to be okay but she was actually really hurt because of his mom, but he didn't want to push her down any further so he just let it go for now. Because should she ever falter, he'd be right there to support her and to ensure that she's back on her feet.
