Everyone came back to Rajkot after their fun vacation in Goa and Nishant went back to London.
Things were going really smooth after the amount of chaos that the family had seen in the last few months. Everything was finally in place. Kuhu's event management company had been climbing the ladder of success after hosting some huge weddings, whereas Abir's NGO was recognised and awarded by the Government for the exemplary work done. It was a proud day for the entire family. The inn that Kunal and Mishti were handling was working smoothly as well. Today was a day that Abir and mishti had been planning for really long. It was Badi Ma's 60th birthday. The entire family had organised a black and white themed party for her. Bade papa had found a perfect way to divert badi ma from the house.
Abir and mishti woke up in the morning and mishti cuddled closer to Abir and said, "pata hain abir. Aaj ka din mere liye bohot special hain. Badi ma, iss duniya mein mere liye sabse zyada special hain. I really hope that she likes the surprise." Mishti sighed. Abir smiled and said, "you and me both mishti. Badi ma has given me more love and care than my mother ever did. And don't worry. I'm sure ki Badi ma ko humara surprise bohot pasand ayega." Abir smiled. Mishti nodded and said, "someday I hope to be a mother as good as Badi ma. She changed my entire life Abir. When I had lost all hope, tabhi she was my ray of sunshine." Mishti said. Abir kissed Mishti's temple and said, "and she knows it, baby. Ab chalo? Let's get ready and go home jaldi. We have a lot of work to do." Abir said. Mishti nodded.
Kunal, Nanu, abir and mishti had breakfast and reached the Maheshwari house. Kuhu and her team had reached the place long ago.
Everyone got to work immediately. Bade papa had taken Badi ma to a temple 2-3 hours away from Rajkot which have everyone enough time for set up. Mishti and Abir were putting up the streamers and fixing the lights when kuhu came towards them and said, "mishti.." she called out. Mishti turned to look at her and nodded at kuhu to continue. Kuhu looked tensed and flustered as she said, "mishti..woh Naira di ka call aaya tha. They're coming for dadi's party. #AllOfThem." Kuhu implied. The lights that were in Mishti's hands just slipped through and mishti was left standing with a shock.
"K..k..kya.." mishti asked. Kuhu nodded her head. Abir who was up on a ladder came down on seeing Mishti's reaction and stood by her. Mishti took a deep breath and looked at kuhu and said, "thanks for the warning." Kuhu gave her a sympathetic smile and walked away. Abir turned towardss mishti and put a finger under her chin and asked, "kya hua mishti?" Mishti gulped and said, "Abir, aaj Rajasthan se, meri family aa rahi hain. My di, my jiju, my dadi...everyone." She looked at Abir with panic in her eyes. Abir looked at her in confusion. Mishti had told him that she didn't get along well with her dadi and Abir respected that. He didn't ask mishti to explain. Mishti looked at him and said, "Abir, tum jaante ho that I don't get along well with my dadi. And I haven't seen her in a while. And everything has been so good lately, I don't have the energy for things to go wrong Abir. I'm tired." Mishti sighed. Abir pulled her to his chest and said, "well then good for you Mrs Ajeeb, because I'll handle everything. Don't worry. Ab kuch bhi galat nahi hoga. Kuch bhi nahi. Aur tumne kaha tha ki tumhari di aur tumhare jiju bhi aa rahe hain? So basically, you're bf is coming?" Abir asked in mock offence. Mishti giggled at Abir's the expression and nodded her head. "I'm sure you'll love him Abir. I mean what's not to love!" Mishti teased. Abir pulled her closer and said, "woh toh shaam ko hi pata chalega angry chorni. Ab chalo, lets get to work before kuhu takes our case!" Abir said and got back to work. Mishti smiled seeing Abir so engrossed in his work. She smiled as she realised that so easily Abir had made her face her fears and yet overcome her anxiety. She was truly blessed.
The entire hall and the driveway of the Maheshwari house was all decked up for the grand welcome of Badi ma. Kuhu had helped all the ladies dress up and the guys were all dressed according to kuhu. Mishti giggled as she saw her reflection. Abir was going to be in for a major surprise.
