As free as Abir felt after warming Big Ben off his case and nanko and masi and mishti's case. He had a harder battle to fight. It was after over 2 months when he realised the weight of mishti's words since Navratri. It was today he realised what she meant when she said that Kunal was an adult and should be treated like one. He too should be held accountable for his flaws and that Abir can't keep overlooking his mistakes and blunders that were disrupting 3 other lives around him. And oh god how would he tell Parul masi that Kunal KNOWS but needs some time to comprehend everything. His head was starting to hurt. He had too many fires to put out and not a lot of time. Because what he felt for mishti he could see a similar intensity in the eyes of Nishant. And oh god he had to apologise to him as well for being an ass to him. For being so reckless with mishti. He would be the second person he would talk to today. First had to be Kunal. He cannot ruin kuhu's life like this. "Nanko! Nanko!.." he called out. Jugnu informed him that Kunal was back from the Maheshwari house and was upset so was resting in his room. What would bade papa be thinking? How much would he be regretting ever letting the RV boys around his daughters!? If he ever had a daughter he would never want anyone as spineless as him and nanko anywhere around his baby girl. So why would bade papa want anything to do with him and nanko after knowing the kind of treatment they gave mishti and kuhu. He shrugged off these thoughts and decided to take it one problem at a time. One person at a time. And one fire at a time. But no matter what it took he wouldn't back off now. It's time she came first. He goes inside Kunal's room and finds him standing by the study table, looking at one particular photograph. "Kya dekh raha hai Nanko?" Asked abir. "Ek Sapna bhai. One beautiful dream which was later overpowered by one horrific reality. Anyway bhai kya hua? Did mishti listen to you?" Asked Kunal as he put down the photo frame. Abir cleared his throat and asked him instead. "Did everyone at the M house forgive you? Did you confess everything Nanko? Sach batana?" Asked abir. "Nai bhai, they're so disappointed in me bhai. I feel so weak. I've become such a coward bhai. Since when did I become like this bhai?" Asked Kunal. "Jabse you let Big Ben control you. But you can't give up nanko. Woh bhi ab family hain. Just like our family. And we can't hurt and abandon family haina? Aur main tere saath hoon. We will make it up to them. But Kunal. I'm disappointed in you. All our lives I've told you that if Big Ben ever tries to use you, you come to me. And I will deal with her. But even before that, you need to learn to differentiate between the right and the wrong yourself. Tu naam se nanko hai. Kaam se mat ban. Just because I always look out for you and protect you doesn't mean I will let your mistakes slide. Jaise main tujhse pyaar karta hoon and tujhe protect karta hoon, kuhu expects the same from you Kunal. Socha hai tune how will you get her to forgive you? Did you tell her the truth?" Explained Abir. "Woh bhai..everything is okay between us..and kuhu understands me don't worry bhai..." Kunal fumbled. "Kunal ek thappad kam tha kya? Aur ek doon kya? Apne bhai se jhoot bolega? Woh bhi meri aankhon mein dekhke?" Abir was hurt and angry now. "Sorry bhai. Aap ko..?" Asked Kunal. "Mujhe kaise pata hai!? Don't forget Kunal that kuhu is not just your wife for me. Not just my sister in law. But before everything she's my bro and my friend. And mishti's sister. So usne mujhe bataya. Complain nai kiya but mujhe bataya. And she didn't even want to. But she opened my eyes. Lekin woh sab baad mein. How dare you Kunal? Who gave you the right and the license to ruin a girl's life like this? Mann mein aaya you got married? Pressure tha so you ran away? Again black mail kiya toh shaadi karli? Aur ab phir mann mein aaya toh divorce? She's not a doll Kunal. She's a living, breathing, girl. A girl who loves you selflessly. The entire mail fiasco? Kunal I haven't forgotten anything but I kept babying you and she kept loving you. But Kunal its time you grow up. Not for me. Not even for you but be the man kuhu deserves. She's your wife. Start loving her like one. Because next time I see her cry, your bhai won't take your side but her bro will definitely take your case. And don't forget that Nishant and mishti will be right there with me. I'm not threatening you but I'm telling you that it's time you start loving her like she loves you. Because yaar nanko life bohot chhoti hai.,aur karne ke liye bohot kuch. Make the most of it. Promise me? Give this relationship a fair chance. I don't want to control you. Do cancelling the divorce will be your choice but postponing it and giving kuhu a chance is my suggestion. Soch kar dekh? Promise me?" Finished Abir. "You're right bhai. I promise. I will think about this and I won't give up! I won't disappoint you bhai.." promised Kunal. Abir nodded and turned to leave. But Kunal stopped him. "Bhai..yeh toh galat hai..you want me to be the man that kuhu deserves but what about you bhai? I know ki meri aur mishti ki nahi banti and I don't even know the future but bhai aap ne bhi mujhse jhoot bola. You still love her don't you? And because of me you let her go. I used to think ki mujhse better aapko koi nahi jaanta..but she proved me wrong. I live with you and I couldn't figure out that you're sad, that you miss her and that you love her. I believed your words and she believed your actions. Even though you hurt her she trusted you. She didn't see you for two months and yet she was right when she said that you still love her. I want to grow up and be the nanko you deserve. So I'm going to try and be friends with her. She maybe be my almost bhabhi but I'll start with friendship. So this has to be a two way thing bhai. If I have to be better for kuhu you have to be stronger for mishti. Promise me bhai? Promise me that you'll be honest with me. And that you'll fight for her and that we will be happy together. All four of us. Boliye bhai..!" Urged Kunal. Abir couldn't believe this!! Kunal trying to take mishti's side? "Thank you nanko! Thank you thank you thank you!!!" Exclaimed Abir and pulled Kunal for a bone crushing hug. He had the biggest grin on his face and tears in his eyes. His baby brother was growing up..! "So nanko you don't hate mishti anymore right?" Asked Abir. "Bhai..I honestly don't know. But I promise to give this friendship a fair shot and that I will never ask you choose again. Ever. Because aapki iss smile ke liye I can endure anything..." promised kunal. "Nanko yaar..I love you yaar. Tere bina main kya karta?" Smiled abir. "I love you too bhai. And mein bhi aapke bina lost hota. Ab chalo yeh bromance stop karte hain and in dono ladkiyo ko kaise manaye yeh sochte hai!!" Said Kunal. "Tu uski chinta mat kar. I have the perfect team in mind and they will help us. But haan they will kick our asses before that? Are you ready?" Asked Abir. "Ab galati ki hai toh saza toh milegi. Boliye who will help us? Nanu?" Asked Kunal. "Nanu bhi aur Ms teapot ka Nannu bhi. Chal!" And Abir dragged Kunal with him to meet Nishant to make a game plan.
