A/N- I can't seem to stop writing this story🥺

9 months later.
24.09- Abir's birthday. And 2 days before Mishti's due date.

Abir fussing over mishti and her health, no longer surprised anyone in the house. Abhi, being a toddler, knew better than to disturb his papa while he took care of his mumma. But even as a baby, Abhi was a papa's boy. But Mishti's only weakness. And ever since the couple had announced their pregnancy to the house, mishti would pamper Abhi extra and he loved every bit of it. His papa told him that his baby sister was in his mumma's tummy and Abhi had been grilling his chachu for the last 9 months, wanting to know how did his sister end up in his mumma's tummy and poor Kunal would dodge a bullet everyday. Abir though, had made a tradition. Abhi and Abir would talk to Myra every single night. And tell Myra about their day. Mishti was sucker for those moments. So precious and so pure. If she could she would totally bottle up that feeling and keep it safe forever. Abhi would kiss Mishti's tummy each night and kiss his sister good night. Kunal and kuhu had a bet going on. Kuhu was sure that the baby was going to be a girl given, how much Abir wanted a daughter and well she always took her bro's side. Kunal though, was sure that the baby was going to be another boy. He knew how much Abir adored him and couldn't wait to relive those days and his childhood with Abhi and Kian. A replica of Abir and Kunal. Yes, kunal had made up his mind of naming Abir's son from K, and relive his childhood. In the last 9 months, kunal would make sure mishti agreed to his idea of naming the baby Kian. Mishti would just laugh and humour him. She didn't have the heart of telling Kunal that even she felt that the baby was going to be a girl only. The family had thoroughly pampered Mishti. Humoured her, tolerated her mood swings, endured her weird food cravings and Abir had read just about everything under the sky about being a perfect dad to a daughter. He had read all books on parenting when Abhi came but this time around he wanted to be more prepared. Because kunal, who was usually stoic had turned to mush on the birth of his daughter and that made Abir doubly excited to hold his baby girl in his arms. But today was different. It was Abir's birthday and mishti wanted to do something completely special before Myra arrived. Because she had a feeling that every birthday from next year on wards would belong to her daughter. So she had sent Abir on the other side of town to get her some khaman dhokla at 11 o'clock in the night. Abir looked at her in suspicion but kneeled by the bed and caressed her head and said, "mishti, yaar mein tumhe jaanta hoon. I know you have some plan up your sleeve, but please, rest well. You're 2 days apart from your due date and we need to be careful okay?" He tried to explain. Mishti sighed and kissed his knuckles and said, "Abir. I promise. Sab theek hai. Aur aage bhi hoga. Ab jaldi jaao! Tumhari beti ko dhokala hi khana hai!" She frowned. Abir smirked and said, "wait till I tell nanko about this. Tumhe bhi lagta hain na ki we are going to have a baby girl?" He grinned. Mishti rolled her eyes and said, "time will tell Ajeeb Rajvansh. Ab JAAO!" She said. Abir laughed and kissed her belly and said, "Myra, take good care of your Mumma okay? I'll be right back!" And then kissed Mishti's forehead and said, "Take good care of yourself and our daughter. Love you!" And then he was off. Mishti shook her head at her over protective husband and caressed her belly and said, "Myra, now you know why I call your papa Ajeeb na? Ab let's go, hopefully aapke bhai jaag rahe honge. Then Mumma, Bhai and Myra will make a cake for papa!" She grinned and felt a kick. She smiled and got out of bed. And went to Abhi's room. Abhi knew it was his papa's birthday and was trying to keep his eyes wide open. Just one more hour! He kept telling himself. Mishti opened the door and found Abhi sitting on the bed. Mishti smiled and extended her hand to him. He ran to his mumma as she said, "Abhi, will you help us to make a cake for your papa?" She asked. Abhi nodded excited and asked, "mumma, the baby won't get tired na?" He asked. Mishti's heart melted as she smiled and said, "not at all baby. Chalo, lets go." And took him to the kitchen. Kunal and kuhu had finally put Kiara to sleep and Masi and Nanu were resting as well.
Mishti waddled to the kitchen and pulled out all the ingredients. Abhi sat on the counter in his pyjamas , with his hair all ruffled and his eyes shining in excitement. His papa was his hero. Mishti followed the recipe and put the ingredients in the bowl and held Abhi's hand as they all mixed the batter together. Abhi licked some batter of his fingers and told his mumma, "mumma, papa is going to love this cake! It's so yummy!" He exclaimed. Mishti grinned and put it in the oven. Abhi got a book from his room and mishti sat on a chair in the kitchen. Abhi crawled into her lap and lay her head on her chest and said, "mumma, cake ban raha hai, tab tak can we read?" He asked. Mishti nodded with a smile and cuddled Abhi closer to her. It was a little uncomfortable, given her belly and Abhi hanging on to her for dear life, but she had never felt closer to her kids and she started reading. Halfway through the first page, Abhi had already fallen asleep with his hand resting on Mishti's belly, as if cuddling his baby sister and his head resting in the crook of Mishti's neck. Mishti too fell asleep in the same position with one hand on Abhi's shoulder and the other holding the book.
Abir had taken the house keys with him and when he came back home, he saw the lights on in the kitchen. His eyebrows furrowed as he walked to the kitchen. And nothing would have prepared him for the most beautiful sight ever.

He saw his wife and his kids sleeping together. Abhi cuddling Mishti's belly and mishti cuddling Abhi. Abir's heart melted to a puddle and took a picture of the sight. His wife always looked adorable but the pregnancy had done she well. Her skin glowed and her cheeks were red. Her glasses were resting on top of her nose and she was asleep with her mouth open and a small smile on her face. Abhi was fast asleep and cuddling his mom and her belly. Abir then smelled something burning and his eyes darted to the oven. He immediately turned it off so as to not alert mishti or Abhi. He set the dhokla on the table and gently untangled Abhi from mishti and carried him to his room. He kissed Abhi good night as Abhi mumbled in his sleep, "love you papa" Abir grinned and whispered, "I love you too, beta." And shut the room and went back to the kitchen. Mishti had started snoring softly. He smiled at the sight of her. Abir had always loved mishti in dresses and because of the pregnancy mishti would always wear maxi dresses. And this particular one was his favourite. It was baby pink with ruffled sleeves and it made mishti look a baby. Abir hoped that his daughter would be just as adorable. He bent down to pick mishti up in his arms and the minute her head hit his chest, she opened her eyes, and saw his chin. "Abir!" She exclaimed. Abir smiled and said, "shh, so jaao mishti. It's late." He said. Mishti shook her head and said, "mujhe niche utaaro abir! Abhi!" She looked around. abir sighed and helped her sit on the chair. And said, "he too had fallen asleep so I tucked him in." Mishti nodded and looked at the cake on the table. The cake had burnt down and the sight brought tears to her eyes. Tears fell down her cheeks and Abir kneeled down in alarm.
"Mishti! Mishti! Kya hua? Pain ho raha hai? Let's go to the hospital. I'll go get nanko!" He was about to get up when mishti pulled him back and cried, "pain nahi ho raha!" Abir cupped her cheeks and asked, "toh kya hua mishti?" He asked. Mishti said, "Meine tumhara birthday cake jala diya. I'm so sorry Abir. Abhi ne aur meine bohot pyaar se banaya tha and i burnt it. I ruined your birthday Abir. I'm so sorry." She cried. Abir relaxed. At least she wasn't going in to labour. Abir kissed her forehead and brushed her tears away and said, "shhhh, mishti. Aisa kuch bhi nahi hain. It's okay. Cake burn ho gayi toh kya hua! It's the thought that counts. And tum mujhe itni badi gift de rahi ho, uske saamne this burnt cake hardly counts. I've never been happier, Love." He repeated and kissed her forehead till she calmed down. Mishti sniffed and looked at Abir and asked, "tum naraz nahi ho?" With an adorable face. Abir melted and kissed her softly and said, "not at all. This is by far the best birthday ever. I have you, Abhi, nanko, kuhu, Kiara, masi, nanu and of course Myra!" He said and caressed her belly. Mishti sniffed and looked at the box of dhokla and said, "tum yahin baitho. I have an idea!" She grinned. Abir said, "tum baitho. I'll do everything. What do you need?" He asked. Mishti asked him to get a match box. He nodded and left the kitchen. Mishti got up and removed the dhokala on a plate and placed a pierced a candle on the dhokla in the middle and waited for Abir. Abir got the matchstick and looked at mishti in question. Mishti grabbed the match stick and lit the candle and took the plate to Abir and said, "I know it's not a cake. And this is totally not what I had in mind, but I guess, at least this way, this birthday will be memorable. The last birthday before the arrival of our princess. So happy birthday, Abir." She said and pecked his lips softly. Abir's eyes teared at the sight and blew the candle and prayed to his partner to always keep his family this happy and fed the dhokla to mishti and hugged her and said, "I couldn't imagine life getting any better and then you came along. I thought that was the peak. When we got married. And then things fit better when Abhi came around and then I thought, this is it, it can't get any better and then Myra came along. Mishti? Every day I get to fall asleep next to you and wake up to your smile is the happiest day of my life. So thank you. For everything. I can't wait for life to get better mishti. Onwards and upwards, baby." He said. Mishti nuzzled her nose in his chest and kissed it. Abir kissed her temple and she said, "happy birthday Abir. I you love." She whispered. Abir kissed her crown and said, "I you love too, wifey." And placed his hand on her tummy and said, "we you love Myra!" He said and felt a kick, exactly where his hand was. This was what dreams were made of.
