Two Worlds Collide (Titanfall x Darling in the Franxx)

The First Wave

Everyone was in position. Squad 26 had taken up the frontline a distance away from the two plantations while (Y/n) and Debbie were positioned at the rear with the rest of Squad 13. Zero Two and Hiro stood atop the giant wall and watched everything from above. Suddenly (y/n)'s radio crackled to life.

**(y/n) can you hear me?**

**Doctor Franxx?**

**Good. It works. Listen, I've taken the liberty of slightly altering your communications systems so that you can now communicate with Franxx. Also, you may want to have your titan perform some diagnostics. I want to know how much power the improved batteries are outputting.**

Improved batteries?

"Um, Debbie?"

"I've already begun, Pilot. Diagnostics are as follows: Sword core is ready. Flight Core offline. primary weapon control and motion link nominal. Missile targeting system online. Power at 250% capacity. Shield output at 200%"

"well, it sucks that Flight core needs repair but POWER AT 250%?! Debbie, what the hell did they do to you?!"

"I have no more information than you do pilot. But this power increase will significantly increase our effectiveness in battle."

"hey don't let all that power go to your head, Debbie." (y/n) said jokingly.

"Of course not. the power is spread evenly across all of my systems to ensure mechanical synergy."

"Debbie, that was a joke."

"...I see."

(y/n) sighed. From the control room, Hachi transmitted intel to both squads.

"We have updated intelligence on the klaxosaurs. Aside from the Conrad-class pack, we've also detected a large, tightly packed unit. it didn't match any of the ones we have on record, but we've deemed it a klaxosaur due to its independent movement and codenamed it target beta."

"That thing is fricking huge!" (y/n) exclaimed as he gawked the terrifyingly massive klaxosaur.

"That can't really be a franxx can it?" Zorome asked in disbelief from inside Argentea.

"There are so many of the smaller ones, too," Miku added. 

"Since we lack data on it, Attacking would be reckless. As such, prioritize wiping out the Conrad-class pack once you engage." 

Once Hachi finished relaying the intel Squad 26 got right into it. Unlike Squad 13, Their Franxx were all of the same design and wielded the same weapon.

So, is Squad 13 special or something? (y/n) wondered.

The five franxx also fought differently than their counterparts. They used their spears as harpoons and fired them at the relatively small Conrads. After they successfully snared one, they would maneuver around it, wrapping it in an inescapable hold where they were then destroyed by a swift downward strike from above down onto the head of the klaxosaur.

Wow, that's some impressive teamwork. but...

(y/n) watched klaxosaur after klaxosaur slip by Squad 26.

their efficient but time-consuming method is reducing the number of klaxosaurs they can takedown at one time.

The gray squad leader (as (y/n) decided to refer to them as) looked back to his squad after finishing the first wave.

"How many did we let through?"

"Three..."

"No, four!"
