Two Worlds Collide (Titanfall x Darling in the Franxx)

Preparations

The seven sages sat around their pristine white table and at the head of the table sat the chairman, the being worshiped as a god by the remnants of humanity, Papa. The vice-chairman, who sat to the right of the chairman had a report for the seven sages.

"We've detected activity in the depths of the Gran Crevasse area recently,"

the APE had intercepted a transmission between "the variable", (y/n) (l/n), and an outside recipient. The vice-chairman played the transmission for the council.

"...We need the entire combined force of the Militia and the IMC to converge on the coordinates I sent as soon as possible..." said the message.

A thick silence passed over the room. This was an uninvited development.

"Why would this boy want to bring foreign power to this world?"

"Obviously to bring war!" the vice-chairman cried in indignation.

"Yes, that must be it." Gorilla agreed.

"If that is the case then we must strengthen our efforts to enter Gran crevasse!"

"True. we need the superweapon if we are to rid this world of the klaxosaur infestation and fend of an alien attack."

"It is Squad 13's responsibility to escort 002 there safe and sound."

The chairman, who sat above the council members, raised his hand, instantly quieting the seven sages. He gestured and Dr. Franxx appeared on a screen on the wall.

"Doctor, send all plantations towards gran crevasse at once. Prepare strelitzia."

The doctor coughed in surprise at the sudden change in tactics.

"But, the special stamen may not be ready-" Dr. Franxx attempted to protest but Papa's word was absolute.

"Then we must have them undergo maintenance in the lab at once!" Papa declared, "We have no time to wait for the special stamen to prove stable."

To the other members, his voice seemed to carry a weight that allowed none to refuse him.

"Yes, Papa."

--Meanwhile in the hangar, Zorome and Miku are arguing when Nana walks in with an announcement--

"Tonight we'll be leaving get you all checked out at the lab." Her face was smiling but her eyes were grave, "We have a big operation coming up so you all need to be ready."

"Operation? What do you mean?" Hiro asked.

the other pilots echoed his question as Nana struggled to give them an answer. Zero Two, however, sat back inside Strelitzia's cockpit. She knew what was coming and every second that passes she became a little bit more irritated.

Later, In the dinner hall, whilst everyone was eating Miku suddenly asked,

"Is anyone else curious as to where (y/n) and Slone are now?"

Hiro looked up from the meal of bread and honey that Zero Two had prepared for him.

"Miku, how many times are you going to ask that question before you understand that they're dead," Mitsuru replied, rolling his eyes. "I mean, we all saw them get swallowed by that klaxosaur before it disappeared underground."

"and we heard as much from Nana and Hachi," Ikuno added.

"But we've also seen (y/n) do some incredible things before! maybe he survived..." Miku said hopefully.
