ELEVEN MONTHS LATER....

"You look beautiful, sister." Kol smiled, standing at the alter.

Today was the day of Nina and Rebekah's wedding. Four months ago Rebekah proposed in-front of the bar they first started their friendship in. The two wanted to get married as soon as possible, not only because of the love they shared, but the vow Rebekah had made. The morning after their first kiss, the blonde said that the night they were married, she would become human so they could officially live the rest of their lives together. Now, that was just hours away.

"Thank you, Kol." Rebekah smiled back, nervously fiddling with the ring on her finger.

The two agreed on a very small wedding, similar to the one Freya and Keelin had. While Nina was compelled at the time and left before the ceremony, Rebekah had told her all about it.

On one of their walks, the two found a spot on the end of the beach that people barely went to but was beautiful with large rocks sitting on the shore and plenty of shells scattered through the sand. Immediately seeing the spot, they agreed it was the perfect place.

Standing in the audience was Freya, Keelin, their son Nik, Hope and her boyfriend Landon, Davina, Marcel, and to everyone's surprise, Nathaniel. At first, Rebekah had been hesitant, seeing as he planned to kill her family. However, Nina reassured her and said that he vowed he would bring no more harm and if it weren't for him, they would've likely never come back together.

Before Rebekah could get more anxious and doubt Nina would ever walk down the aisle, she saw a figure walking towards the crowd. Smiling at the woman walking towards her, any negative thoughts the original once had were gone.

Once Nina reached the front, she passed her flowers to Freya who was standing at the front. Turning her attention back to the blonde, she smiled, taking her hands in her own.

"Welcome, everyone. Now I know these two wanted to keep this short and sweet and have said their vows beforehand, but I would like to say a few words." Kol loudly spoke, competing with the sound of the ocean crashing against the shore. "I haven't known Nina for much time, but I have known Rebekah my whole life. She's my little sister and my partner in crime and I'm beyond proud of her. That's all I have to say, but I would like to read some words that someone wanted to tell you before they left."

Rebekah furrowed her eyebrows, wondering who Kol could be talking about as she watched him pull out a piece of paper from his jacket pocket.

"To my dearest sister, Rebekah. I've entrusted Kol to read this to you when you've decided on the person you wanted to spend the rest of your vampire or human life with. All I hope is that they have proven themselves worthy of your love. Given the recent events before my death, I'm assuming this person is Nina. If I'm correct, which I always am, then you are marrying the right person. Your whole life I've never seen any man worthy enough for you, but I suppose I've been looking at the wrong gender." Kol read, causing for some to let out a small laugh. "You have stood by me through everything and I could only wish I was standing by you on your special day. No matter what life brings you, I'll always be by your side. Always and forever. Sincerely, Klaus."

Rebekah smiled, despite the few tears dripping down her cheeks. Nina softly squeezed her hands, knowing how much Klaus meant to her.

"Now, before I continue, does anyone object on this marriage?"

When no one spoke up, Kol smiled. "Then by the power invested in me by the internet, I now pronounce you married! You may now kiss your bride."

The two smiled, kissing softly as the family cheered.

Nina sipped on her champagne, watching as everyone around her either danced or talked amongst each other.

"Care to take a walk by the ocean?" A voice spoke, walking up next to the human.

The woman turned her head to see Rebekah smiling. With a nod and smile, Nina took her hand and walked over to the shore. Almost all of the guests had taken off their shoes to not only enjoy the sand but to take away the challenge of the heels sinking into the sand every step they took.

As the two newly weds talked, they were interrupted by water being poured on them. Rebekah gasped, spinning around to see her brother laughing with a bucket in his hands.

"Kol!" The blonde yelled, running up to him and dragging him into the water.

"No, Rebekah!" The original yelled as he and his sister both fell into the ocean, soaked from head to foot.

Nina laughed until she was caught off guard by being thrown in right next to the two siblings by Marcel, who simply held his hands up in defense.

Soon, all the guests were in the water. Davina was dragged in by Nik, Freya and Keelin simply ran in hand-in-hand, Landon picked up Hope and the two fell in after he lost balance, and Nathaniel pushed Marcel in, who dragged him in the water straight after him.

They all splashed each other, everyone becoming more soaked than the next. To Nina, it seemed like a slow motion clip out of a movie. In that moment, it didn't matter whether or not her dress was being ruined. All that mattered was they were all happy and enjoying themselves.

Hours later, everyone had returned to their homes. Once Rebekah and Nina were dried off, they sat in their bed.

A few months ago, they had agreed to share a room, making the extra room a guest room/office.

Rebekah held the cure in one hand, and Nina's hand in the other. She hadn't opened it yet, and suddenly after every yearning for humanity she once had, it was gone.

"I'm sorry." The blonde sighed, her voice cracking. "I wanna take it, but what if in ten years I regret it? Once I take the cure I can never be a vampire again."

"Bex, listen to me." Nina spoke, cupping Rebekah's cheek in her palm. "I didn't marry you because I wanted you to take the cure and become human. I married you because I love you and will always want what's best for you. I don't care if you're a vampire until the day I die or if you become a human and we live ninety or so years together. I just want you."

The original nodded, smiling and brushing the tears away. "Thank you. I love you, Nins."

"And I love you."
