I found my usual lackeys... *cough* … friends sitting together. Every single one of them stared at me as I approached.

"Boss, what exactly is going on?!" Matthew started.

I sat down, took a deep breath, "I'm being blackmailed by the vampire girl because she knew I was with the mob stoning her house threatening me that she'll let Aunt and Uncle know about it and I'm doomed if they learned it because she was the only daughter of their very close friend and there's nothing I can do right now and everyone thinks we're dating but we're not!" I said in one whole breathing.

"What?" The four were stumped.

"I'm being blackmailed by her," I said. "There's nothing I can do."

"With what?" Alex asked.

"My Aunt and Uncle and her parents go way back apparently," I said. "No idea how far back, or in what way, I think they were sworn brothers somewhat"

Greg raised a brow. "And...?"

"And... WE nearly hit Louise with a rock the other day during the mob protest." I sighed, "If she tells her family about that, and if Aunt and Uncle learned about that, I'm pretty much doomed!"

"Mind you, it was actually YOU, BOSS, who nearly hit her with a rock, I only hit one of their windows." Greg retorted.

"So what now, boss? Matt asked. "I think you'd better stuff your ears, I'm sure you'll get a pretty tongue-lashing."

"Seriously?" I asked, cracking my knuckles.

"Uh…just kidding, boss, hehe…so…what can we do to help?" Matt chuckled nervously.

"As if you can even do something!" I said, hurling off of what is left from my sandwich to the four as I headed to my next classes.

The rest of the day went much more smoothly. I didn't see Louise once. She probably still expected me to show up after school, but at least I got a brief respite from her.

I was about to exit the school gates.

Surprisingly, Louise was waiting for me just beside the gates. She carried a smug expression. "Ready for work?" She mischievously giggled.

*Oh bloody hell, this is gonna be a headache.*

After an hour of walk, we arrived at her home, the 'VAMPIRE HOUSE' It's pretty much the same as yesterday. Still the same large mansion that had a large garden.

On the one hand, the work wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, really, I wasn't doing even half as much as the other servants. I was only expected to clean up around the house. I wasn't preparing meals or anything fancy like that.

On the other hand, Louise was doing her absolute best to make my work as awful as possible. It wasn't anything major. She wasn't having me do back-breaking menial labor with zero breaks and rests. Instead, she would pop in and make a slight comment. Maybe she'd request something. Maybe she'd ask me to do something totally inane. But she always did it in a fashion so overly polite, so entirely-too-pleasant, it was completely obvious she was mocking me.

*She's pretty annoying!*

It was actually pretty clever since even by the end of the day, the rest of the servants didn't think anything was odd. After all, she was just making a few 'slight requests'.

I still had an hour or two of sunlight left before heading home. I half expected Louise to show up with perfect timing to inform me that I needed to do just a few more things.

She actually did show up unexpectedly. I had been making my way to the gates when she suddenly popped out of nowhere. I only glanced at the side for a moment and she was suddenly there.

She stared at me.

"Can I help you?" I asked.

She frowned. "So, what's your deal?"

"Huh?"

"Why were you with that mob?" Louise asked. "Do you really hate my kind that much, or...?"

"Look, I admit we are wrong, I'm sorry for stoning your house. I'm sorry for almost hitting you." I said, sincerely.

"I'm not asking for your sorry, I'm asking why were you with the mob?!"

"Nothing! I think it would be fun so I joined them!" I said.

She raised an eyebrow towards me. She stared for a long time before bursting out a laugh.

"Seriously!?" Louise asked. "That's it? No sad story about how a vampire killed your best friend or something? Just 'I think it was fun so I joined them'? I thought you would be a cry-baby while narrating your sad story of how a vampire killed someone dear to you and..."

"Stop, I don't wanna hear it," I said.

"So, you actually had a sad story huh? Tell me, is it your lover? Your best friend? Or your puppy?" She continued.

"I said, STOP!" I yelled.

"Oh, so you're gonna cry now?" Louise smirked.

At that moment, I recalled the scene from the night six years ago. The pool of blood below the staircase, my father lying on his own pool of blood witnessing how he died while holding my arms, when I burst through the living door and saw Archie his neck firmly held by the sharp claws of a vampire, and my mother lying dead on the floor, a large wound on her chest. It was too painful and I was immediately consumed by rage.

I gripped Louise's arms saying, "I said stop speaking. You don't know what vampires have done to my family! I've been living for the past six years plagued by nightmares that I wished myself to die. What do you know? You're a vampire, a monster! You won't know the pain I've been feeling when I lose my family!" I said, tightly gripping her arms.

It seems like tears were threatening to drop from my eyes but they didn't. My vision only blurred due to anger and sorrow.

"Let me go. I'm sorry!" Louise said. "You're hurting me, let me go!” Tears dropped from her eyes streaming to her cheeks.

Her tears dropped to my arms. And I was brought back from my anger. I was stupefied to see her crying as I released my grip from her arms.

*Maybe I held her too tight?*

"I…Im sor…" I stammered as I was about to say sorry but Louise already ran off before I even finish what I'm about to say.

I was left there in their front gate standing alone.

"I'm sorry, Louise. I didn't mean to hurt you" I whispered.

I looked at the mansion, to be precise the area where Louise's bedroom should be. I stared at her windows for a long time hoping to see her.

I sighed. I shook my head and turned back to head home when I didn't catch sight of her.
