The visit was pretty much just boring conversations while on the dinner table.

The entire dining room looked great. A clean, white, cloth stretched across a lengthy table. The Silver's could probably host a dinner for fifty people at that table if they wanted to. A massive chandelier hung over the table. Shimmering crystals hung from it.

The conversation drifted on. Uncle Frank and Aunt Leonora and the Silver's talked about their 'good old days'. I had no idea what that was about, and I didn't really care to ask.

Louise shifted between talking to her parents, talking to Uncle Frank and Aunt Leonora, and just digging into her plate.

Apparently, vampires ate food too.

I frowned at Elizabeth, eyeing her curiously.

It occurred to me at that moment that I had never once seen any of the Silver's feed on anyone's blood. They never explicitly mentioned doing it, and neither did any of their servants.

It simply never came up.

I kind of wanted to broach the subject with one of them, but it seemed like an awkward topic to bring up.

*Holla, Louise! Say, what's it like consuming human blood?*

And maybe I was worried it might be taken as an invitation. None of them had tried to assault me yet, but... I didn't feel any reason to take that risk.

After the boring lunch, we toured the Silver's mansion once more and after that, bid our goodbyes and went home.

*Great! I've still got some time to drop by the local dojo.*

"Uncle, I'm dropping by the dojo, can you drive me there? I asked.

"Sure, but keep watch of time, you should be home by six" Uncle Frank said, turning the wheel towards the dojo.

"Yes," I replied.

I spent four hours on the dojo doing a series of exercises: jumps, squats, punches, kicks until I was soaked in sweat.

I rested for a few minutes before heading home.

Aunt and Uncle's house is in the suburbs and I usually ride a bus to and from the dojo. As I turn the corner to the bus stop, I see the bus already idling at the corner.

I tried to run for it…my feet pound on the hot pavement. But the bus seems to be toying me, waiting until I'm close and then pulling out into traffic.

Left alone at the bus stop. Well, I don't have a choice now.

I start making my way home. Walking down the street, passing through the few shops along the way before coming to a stop at Saint Stone's Church. Normally I'd simply carry on around the block to get onto my street, but I know I could simply cut through the church's graveyard and get home considerably quicker.

Walking over to the cemetery gates I find them unlocked. Carefully pulling them open but they still creak loudly. I look about expecting someone to come and tell me to get off, yet no-one comes. Letting out a sigh of relief I look back at the cemetery and the church. The sun is shining above me but the atmosphere still unnerves me slightly.

Ignoring the sensation, for now, I walk deeper into the cemetery, passing by all the graves. The further I get, the more the atmosphere seems to thicken. It is stifling, it's hard to believe but it begins to feel like something is slowly wrapping itself around me.

*Heck…why am I even feeling scared? This cemetery is not something to be afraid of*

I took a deep breath to calm my nerves. Moments later it feels like the weight lifts off my shoulders and that unnerving feeling was gone. I continued walking passing through the cemetery. Passing through the exit gate I find myself back on the streets, home is just a short walk away now.
