"Are you excited?" Pippa asked Evie through the wood of the bathroom door. Pippa was already dressed in her tight plum-coloured dress and was waiting for Evie to be ready.
Evie had been ready to go for the past few minutes, but was spending her time standing in front of the bathroom mirror. She really liked her dress, she did, but she wasn't sure if it was appropriate for a party, as most girls would be wearing dresses that clung to every curve.
Evie shared her worries with her friend, and could hear Pippa sigh through the wall.
"Don't be silly Evie," Pippa said loudly. "People can wear whatever they like, and you look amazing so it doesn't matter what other people think."
Pippa then encouraged Evie to leave the bathroom, who was still fiddling with the skirt of her dress. Pippa squealed and clapped her hands once she saw her best friend.
Evie laughed at her friends reaction and pulled on a pair of Pippa's heels. They were a little tight, but they would do her for the night. "Where even is the party happening?"
"Sirius told me about this secret room on the seventh floor," Pippa told her.
Evie raised an eyebrow. "You've been spending a lot of time with Sirius lately," she commented.
Pippa scoffed. "I know what you're thinking, and no. Sirius isn't my type."
After that, Pippa and Evie left their dorms and wandering up to the seventh floor. They reached a large crowd entering the party at 9:30pm. Evie earned a look or two due to her flowy skirt, but she remembered Pippa's words. She liked how she looked, and that's all that mattered.
The music blared in her ears as soon as Evie entered the room with Pippa. She'd never been in this room before, and never knew it had existed. It was large and spacious, making Evie wonder how she'd never noticed it before.
"Remus is giving you the eyes," Pippa said, quite loudly, in Evie's ear. Evie followed her friends gaze and found Remus sitting across the room, watching her intently. He met her eyes and gave her a small smile.
"Go over to him," Pippa said and gave Evie a small push. "Quick. Before he charges this way."
Evie sent Pippa an amused look before pushing her way through all the dancing bodies and walking over to Remus, who held out his hand as she drew closer.
