Evie was terrified.
Today was the day. The day Pippa was looking forward to for days, and the one Evie was dreading.
Remus had returned to Hogwarts a week after the term started. Evie felt as nervous as ever when she was around him. Remus must have been confused when he was greeted by the shy girl he had met at the start of the year again.
"I'll see you later," Remus said as they separated upon leaving the potions classroom.
"Bye," Evie nodded meekly and turned away. She couldn't even look at him without blushing, knowing what Pippa had in store for her.
Evie was walking towards the Hufflepuff common room when Pippa appeared in front of her.
"Come with me," was all Evie's friend said, pulling her along.
They ended up outside the library, much to Evie's confusion. "You hate the library," she stated. "Why are we-"
"Come on," Pippa insisted again. Evie was guided into the library and sat down at a table hidden in the back.
"Hey there Evie," James Potter, who was seated in front of her, said cheerfully.
"Nice to see you again," Sirius spoke from beside him, just as cheerful.
Evie turned to Pippa, who was beaming in the seat next to her. "What is this?"
"This," Pippa began, motioning to the group dramatically, "is the first meeting of the Operation Evie kiss Remus Organisation."
Evie only groaned, her cheeks flaming up.
"We have been brainstorming," James said as he ran his fingers through his already messy hair. "But we've decided to come together to share our ideas with each other."
Evie hated the formal atmosphere of this so-called meeting.
"What ideas do you have?" Sirius asked her.
Evie shrugged. "I haven't really thought about it-"
"Lies," Pippa sang. "But we'll move onto me. I think you should meet him in the Astronomy tower. At dusk. The most romantic place in Hogwarts!"
