Evie usually didn't care about Valentine's Day, since it was never a special day for her since she had nobody special to spend it with. But now? Now she had Remus, and she woke up in the Hufflepuff dorms beyond excited for the upcoming day.

"What are your plans for today?" Pippa asked when Evie jumped out of bed. "With Remus, I mean."

Evie shrugged. "I'm actually not that sure. We haven't planned anything," she said, rummaging through her wardrobe for something nice to wear. "It's annoying how it's not the weekend. It would have been fun to go to Hogsmede."

"Well we better hurry and get to breakfast," Pippa said as she too jumped out of bed. "It is the most important meal, of course."

Once they were both dressed, Pippa and Evie made their way down to the Great Hall for breakfast.

"I don't see Remus," Pippa commented while she began to eat her strawberry waffles.

Evie looked over to the Gryffindor table, and Pippa was right. Remus was nowhere to be seen. "Peter isn't there either, maybe they slept in."

The absent Gryffindor's didn't show up for breakfast, which surprised them as Peter was known for loving breakfast. As they made their way to their classes, they met James and Sirius.

"Where's Remus and Peter?" Evie asked them just before Pippa left to go to muggle studies.

"Remus is feeling sick," James said. "So he's sleeping."

"Peter's not sick," Sirius added. "But he's sleeping too."

The two girls laughed before heading to their classes. Evie walked with Sirius and James to the potions classroom. She was very entertained by their conversations and strange questions; she found herself laughing a lot more than normal.

"Now, Evelyn," Sirius said as they all sat down. James and Sirius took the desk in front of Evie but turned to face her. Sirius hands were intertwined in front of him- business style. "Evie, sorry."

"We're sure you are aware what day it is today," James continued. Evie nodded slowly and James continued. "Valentine's Day. A day for romance and love."

Sirius then decided to take over. "It's also a day where people tend to- get it on."

Evie went bright red. She tried to hide her flaming cheeks with her short hair, but failed. She could see Sirius and James sharing amuses looks. "Um- that- that's not going to happen."
