(Possibly a major Trigger Warning)
Saturday was upon them before they knew it and Pippa was bustling around the dorm, preparing for her birthday party that evening.

Evie was sat on her bed, watching her best friend. Petal was curled up in Evie's lap, purring softly as Evie scratched her ears.

Evie had spent the past few days thinking about what Remus has said to her. He wanted her to go to the party. He wanted to see her there. Evie started to believe maybe a party would be fun.

"Hey Pippa?" Evie asked. Pippa paused her movements and looked towards Evie.

Evie clearer her throat. "I was thinking that-maybe-I might go tonight-"

"Really?!" Pippa exclaimed, happiness written over her half-make-uped face. "You wanna come?"

"If it's still ok-"

"Of course it is!" Pippa beamed. "It's a little late notice, so you'll have to borrow something of mine."

Evie nodded and didn't reply. Pippa spoke about her party with much more enthusiasm, since her best friend would now be attending.

Evie hoped she was making the right choice.

A few hours later, the two friends were ready for a party. Evie had borrowed one of Pippa's dresses. It was navy blue and reached halfway down her thighs. It hugged each curve and was a size to small, but Evie hoped nobody would notice. It had no sleeves, so the little marks on Evie's arms were visible. Pippa reassured her that it would be too dark for anyone to see them at the party.

"We can't be early," Pippa said when Evie began to notice voices down in the common room. "It's only 9. We'll wait a little longer."

'A little longer' ended up being an hour. At 10 o'clock, Evie and Pippa left the dorms and went down to the common room, which was full of people, all from different houses.

Pippa led Evie onto the dance floor. Pippa was full of energy, jumping and laughing. Evie felt uncomfortable and unable to let loose. Sweaty bodies continued to bump into her; Evie didn't recognise any of them.
