By next morning they boarded the plane to travel to Iceland's capital, Reykjavik. They rented another car and went sightseeing around town. They weren't in a rush and took their time driving slowly. They'd stop whenever they wanted and take tons of pictures of the city's landscapes. It was colder than Akureyri but extremely beautiful.
They even found a pub close to their hotel and both of them got pretty drunk in the night. They came back to their room stumbling and laughing (and probably bothering the other guests) and passed out with their clothes still on.
On the next day they woke up with hangovers and sour moods by the amount of alcohol they drank last night. They stayed lazily in bed after getting up to take a shower and only left their room after noon. She was the one driving them to Seljalandsfoss, where they spent the rest of the day walking around the waterfall and taking pictures of it.

The next morning Carol woke Harry up with the most amazing blowjob he ever had and that was the boost for their perfect day. They left their hotel room a bit late for their trip of the day, but both had very satisfied grins on their faces while driving to Vik. They were going to hike the Solheimajokull glacier. Their guide explained the rules and how to walk around the glacier. It was a very windy day and Carol was having a hard time to keep herself warm. They got their equipment at ready and Harry asked her to walk in front of him or beside him, because he was used to snow and was a pro at doing things like this. And if she fell - which she did - he'd be able to catch her quickly.
The path was difficult and she had to stop a couple of times to catch her breath but she didn't want to stop. If she accepted to do this, she'd go until the very end. Harry helped her most of the time and even held her close when the wind was blowing so fast and strong that it scared all of them. But when they got up there the view was absolutely breathtaking. It was beautiful to see all that ice and snow around it's peaks and to see a clear sky on a winter day.
"It's amazing here!" Carol jumped excited looking around and hugging Harry who was still laughing of her victory dance when they reached the end of the hike.
"It is, isn't it?" he said hugging her too.
"Have you ever been here?"
"Nope. Never been. I'm discovering Iceland with you." he said and gave her a butterfly kiss. Both their noses were red because of the wind.
"Good to know." she smirked and pecked his lips before getting her camera to snap a few pictures.

They left Iceland a day after hiking the glacier.
They shared a flight that had a connection in London, where he left her, while she'd go back to São Paulo. She almost asked him to go with her, but she knew he had things to attend and engagements to be at. And she'd be in a rush to pack her things and finish everything she needed to move to London soon. She spent the rest of the flight thinking about the amazing days Harry had gifted her, even the nausea she was feeling (for sure one side effect of the morning after pill - which she forced herself to think it was a side effect and not a pregnancy symptom) couldn't take the smile off her face. Her heart was with a small flick of hope this might work, but her overthinking mind was always stopping her from being bold.
January 17th, 2018.
She had woken up early and she was getting ready to go to work. She had lots of meetings and a lecture to give and she was already thinking it was another full day when she received a text that made her check her cell phone every five seconds during the day.
Lara: Labour has officially started. Only a few hours away from meeting our baby boy. Xoxo
Carol: OH MY GOD! Do try to keep me informed and tell Skippy to stay calm. You got it, girl. Praying for you.
Carol drove to work listening to soft music and wanting to have news from her friends. Lara and Skippy had become great friends to her and they were also helping her with her moving and with her kind of relationship with Harry.
She attended the meeting and didn't pay much attention to what they were saying. She was discreetly texting her friends to see how Lara was doing and if the baby was born. She was anxious to meet him and to get to know his name. She loved children and she loved them even more when they were babies.
She had to be away from her phone during her lecture and her boss asked her to perform another training for her assistant and colleagues so they could manage her project when she was in London. If it was any other day, she wouldn't mind the extra hours she'd have to be at work, but today, this special day, she wanted to go home and wait by the phone until someone would let her know the baby had arrived. She was tired, hungry and grumpy. But she had to stay and do her job.
Skippy: HE'S HERE.
She actually screamed with joy when she read the text. She had just arrived home and was opening the door when her phone buzzed and she quickly got it to see if it was news.
Carol: I DEMAND PICTURES SKIPPY!!!
The pictures came ten minutes later by Harry's phone. He was at the hospital to support his friend and to meet his godson. The baby looked so much like his mother and had wisps of red hair and Carol couldn't help but laugh.
She texted both Harry and Skippy with "another ginger?" and waited for their answers.
And while it didn't arrive, she had dinner with her mom and Flavio and helped them choose a few things for their wedding. It seemed so unreal that her mom was getting married and that she fully supported it and she wondered if her parents should have divorced sooner because Maria was healthier and happier now.
Later in night she was getting ready to sleep when her phone started to buzz beside her, she saw it was a video call from Lara and immediately answered it.
"Hey there, mama. Congratulations. He's beautiful." Carol said when her friend appeared on the screen and she was holding her little bundle of joy.
"Thanks Carol." Lara answered and she had this amazing glow and didn't look like she had just given birth a few hours ago. "He's sweet and calm and perfect."
"Why no one says "good job, daddy"? it's annoying. It really is." Carol heard Skippy saying on the background before he put his head on the camera and looked at his friend.
"Because you got the easiest part, Lara did all the job. And thankfully the baby looks just like her." Carol smiled and the baby made a cute sound and they all swooned over him.
"It was a fast delivery, though." Lara said looking at her newborn son. "It was hard but not as hard as I thought it'd be."
"That's great!" Carol said excitedly. "I want to hold him" she pouted.
"You will when you come visit us. Aunt Carol will hold you, won't she?" Skippy said the last part in a baby voice the both women stiffed their laughs.
"What's his name?" Carol asked.
"Thomas Inskip III" Skippy said proudly and kissed his wife's temple.
"It's a beautiful name" the brunette added.
"But his godfather's already calling him Tommy. That isn't the nickname I wanted for him." Skippy complained and Lara passed the baby to him. He carefully held his son and adjusted him in his arms and the baby yawned and melted everyone's hearts.
"Well... Tommy's a good nickname. He could've done worse." Lara pointed out.
"Tommy's cute." Carol commented. "I don't know when I'm moving but hopefully soon."
They chatted for a while and Carol until the baby started to make his parents know he was getting hungry and Lara had to prepare herself to nurse him. She said goodbye to her friends and ended the call. She smiled big. She was happy for them and couldn't wait to meet Tommy.
Yeah, the nickname had already stuck.
