Chapter 5 Remembering the Past

KATHY’S POV

Tony is a total pain in the ass. He won’t shut the hell up, like dude you’re annoying! All he did was talk talk talk talk during lunch and all I heard was blah blah blah. I was hoping that Julia would save me but she was too busy talking/whispering to Tom. Even though they looked perfect for each other I’m still mad at her.

Lunch ended I literally jumped out of my seat and ran to the game room. It’s time for me to get all this anger in me by dancing. I love to dance and the wii just kept on calling me, so I decided to play Just Dance 2. 

I was on my jam and beating my high score, when someone came up behind me, scaring me.

“BOO!”

“Damn it, Tony, what the hell is wrong with you?”

“I just wanted to see your reaction”

“Well you saw it now leave before I beat you up”

“I would like to see you do that”

“Ugh you’re so annoying”

“You love it”

“Why would I love it?”

“Because you like me”

“HAHAHA your funny, I don’t like you at all”

“Sure you don’t but let’s make a deal”

“What kind of deal?”

“If I beat your score on Just Dance 2 then you have to go on a date with me—

“NO!”

“But if I don’t then I will stop annoying you”

“Hmmm… so you’ll stop annoying me?”

“Yup”

“Ok fine I’m bored anyways”

I start the song for him and he starts dancing. Damn can he dance or what? But I can’t let him beat my score. He has to loose.

When he finished dancing, he beat my score, so I told him that we both have to dance together and see who has the highest score. I am so winning this, I have to.

“Ok let’s see your moves sweetheart, but I’m sure you’ll be going on a date with me”

“Just shut up, let’s dance”

“Damn girl you feisty”

I ignore him and start the song; it has my highest score so I know that I’ll do really well on it. Let’s just hope that he loses this.

Man that song took forever and all my energy is gone, that was exhausting.

Clap clap clap clap

I turned around and see Julia and Tom clapping for us.

“That a show you guys put on”

“Thanks Julia and now Kathy has to go on a date with me” Tony said with the biggest grin ever. He just had to get 10 more points than me.

“Don’t even remind me that”

“Come on don’t say that, you’ll have the best date ever cause it will be with me”

“Conceited much?”

“Its confidence, babe” he said then winked at me, which actually made me blush.

“Whatever, let’s go Julia”

I take Julia with me to her room and collapse on her bed.

“Don’t even try asking me what happened”

I tell her before she can ask me anything. I know that she will want to know everything but I’m too tired to tell her and I just wanted to sleep.

“Ok, then go shower you stink” she said while covering her nose.

“What a great friend you are”

“Thanks I’m the best” 

We both start laughing and she pushes me to the bathroom.

TONY’S POV

Damn that girl can dance. I thought she was gonna beat me but I had 10 extra points which I am very thankful for cause now she has to go on a date with me.

I’m gonna make sure that she won’t forget this date. I really like her. I know you might wonder why I like her a lot when we just met.

I have actually known Kathy since high school, she was a really good friend and I could always turn to her, but something happened that ruined our friendship.

I remember the first day that she came to school; I had to show her around. She was the prettiest girl I’ve seen and we just got along so well. I walked her to her class; we sat together during lunch with my friends and hung out afterschool, which was our sophomore year. Then junior year, she started dating this guy and he was a pretty cool guy. So I started dating and I was in an okay relationship, but I knew something was off. Kathy barely hung out with me anymore and I thought it was because school was stressful and taking over our time but then I found out that her boyfriend didn’t let her hang out with me. I talked to him and we got into a fight, Kathy broke up with him cause he was a horrible boyfriend. I let her cry on my shoulder until she fell asleep and I took her to my room cause it was pretty late. I didn’t know that someone saw the fight and everything that happened but the next day the whole school was talking about it. They said that Kathy was cheating on him with me and called her names. My girlfriend was the one that bullied her the most, so I broke up with her, but she was so clingy. I had to break it to her that it was over and that I couldn’t be with a girl that messes with my friends. I knew she cheated on me but I didn’t care cause I didn’t really like her that much. She then started spreading rumors about me and Kathy, so I told everyone the truth, which was that I like Kathy more than friends. I also told them how my ex-girlfriend cheated on me and all the horrible things she did to Kathy. 

After that she stopped bothering me and Kathy, but Kathy started avoiding me. I know it’s because I confessed that I like her, but it’s the truth. 

I confronted Kathy and told her everything, but she told me that she only likes me as a friend and that I should find some other girl. I took her advice but I couldn’t just let go of my feelings for her that was how much I liked her. I really thought that we would be together for a long time; I was hoping that she would give me a chance.

We stayed friends but it was awkward because she knows that I still like her even though I try not to show it. We always have these moments when I show her my feelings and from the look in her eyes, I thought she liked me back. But she didn’t, so I started dating people and so did she. At the end of junior year we acted like we didn’t know each other.

Then during senior year, I tried to bring back our friendship but she denied it so I stopped. Every time I saw her in the hallways she looked happy with her boyfriend. I went through that year by dating a lot of girls and trying to get rid of my feelings, it worked but now that we’re in the same college it’s hard to forget about them. 

She’s more beautiful now and single. I really hope that this date will help me be with her. 

A/N: I felt like updating since I was bored. Is it shocking that Tony and Kathy know each other since high school???? And man did he confess his feelings or what? ANY SUGGESTIONS?
