Querida Rosario,
That's about as much Spanish as I'm comfortable throwing out without having the help of a few more Coronas. The other night when you came over to my room to watch 21 Jump Street, you asked me what I kept writing in that book that I carry around; I told you it wasn't anything. Well, I lied. Truth is that I usually write about the girls that I have crushes on in that journal, and I didn't want you to know that you have been filling up those pages for the past months.
This road trip that we're on just seems to have amplified everything I've been thinking and feeling about you. Driving down the open road with you by my side has been amazing. I love watching you take pictures of things you find beautiful, though I'll admit that you are the scene that catches my eye every time we stop. I like that you don't mind listening to country music, even if you think it can be a bit on the sad side at times. But you said that's okay, because "life has sad and happy moments."
I want you to know that the moments with you have been some of the happiest in my life. I find myself wishing that the road we're on would never end. I wanna get coffee and pancakes with you every morning. In that same breath, I find myself fully aware that this road will end. I know that somewhere along this journey we're going to hit a fork in the road. Then you'll have to go back to your time and I'll have to go back to an empty apartment.
But I can't let you leave without letting you know that I love you. This whole time I've been fighting the fear of what telling you this would mean. But I decided that not telling would be worse than telling you. I'm afraid of what you'll say once you read this, but I need to hear your answer, even if breaks my heart. Know that whatever it is, you can still expect to have un chofer and a friend who picks bad guy flicks when it's his turn to choose a movie to watch. I just had to tell you how I really feel and if it's at all possible I don't want this journey to end.
Sinceramente tuyo,
Christopher Harris
