Hello Mitch,
I am looking forward to meeting up with you and the others in Vegas. I am also very pleased that you were able to convince Chris to show up as well. Ultimately, I think it's good for him not to close himself off right now, even though I completely understand his predicament. It reminds me of the time when I was eight years old, and I went to summer camp.
I had lots of fun there and got to meet a lot of new people. But when I got home, tragedy had struck. My heart was basically broken in two because Gumdrop, my beloved dog, ran away while I was gone. I was utterly devastated. I shut myself up in my room for weeks and barely ate anything. Oddly enough, I noticed that my dad's allergies suddenly improved. He said it was because they had installed a new ventilation system and the air in the house was cleaner, which made sense. They did such a good job of installing it looked like nothing had changed.
Shortly after that, we got another dog. She was a beautiful chihuahua and I named her Burrito. I loved her so much. But the following year when I went to summer camp, she ran away, too. I just never understood why they would want to leave. I mean it was a large estate with a swimming pool and everything. You can't please some dogs, I guess.
Right! I almost forgot I'll be arriving in Vegas a few days late. Getting the paperwork through for this Green Card is taking more time than I expected. Things like this were easier when the mission was, well, a secret. Just make sure you keep Chris there until I show up. Stall if you have to. I'm told you're good at that. I think that's all I have for now. See you guys soon.
Ashley
