ESTELLA BENNETT WAS NOT READY TO SAY GOODBYE TO HOGWARTS. As the young girl walked the corridors one last time, she found her eyes had gone misty. In a couple hours, Estella and her rowdy friends would leave the ancient walls of their beloved home behind. Onward, they would find themselves in the middle of a tragic war that increased every single day.
Seven years ago, everything had seemed so simple. It seemed like ages ago, and she always felt like this day was so far away. Yet, here it was.
"Estella!"Lily Evans' voiced carried through the corridor,"C'mon, we need to help the boy get ready for the ceremony."
The redhead girl had a melancholy look on her face. The halls of Hogwarts were making every seventh year sad. In all of her years at Hogwarts, Estella never paid attention to what the seventh years went through. The last day was different for them. They would have a ceremony before the last feast of the year. They would dress their best under their house robes and then, when everything was done, they would ride the same enchanted boats they rode their first year. Just the thought of it all made Estella want to weep for days on end.
Estella hurried back into the common room where her friend awaited her. James Potter was cursing as Lily tried her best to tie the fabric around his neck. He looked dapper, but unlike himself. His hair wasn't it's usual mess. Instead, he had used that potion Fleamont had concocted to tame it. Sleekeasy's Hair Potion had indeed left it his hair sleek.
Estella had been ready for what seemed like hours. She could barely sleep. She wasn't sure if she was nervous or excited, but her emotions were everywhere. Estella was up at the break of dawn this morning. She had showered early on, and found the dress her father and her had bought over the summer for this specific occasion. It was simple dress. It was off the shoulder, Estella's favorite type. She always liked how her collarbones looked in those dresses. It was puddlemere blue and clung her body perfectly, falling just a little past the middle of her thighs. The sleeves were short, and the fabric was a soft, silk. Resting on her collarbones was the sun charm necklace that Remus had gotten her for Christmas. Her hair was in short, pink curls like always. Unlike James, she didn't need a potion to ease her hair.
"How much Sleekeasy did you have to put in the mane of yours, J?"Estella asked as she fiddled with the charm bracelet the lads had gotten her in fifth year. The one with all their animals on it. She always wore. She had never take taken it off.
"Far too much,"Lily answered.
"My hair is a bloody mess, Lils,"James expressed.
"Fleamont said it would only take a few drops!"
"I used a few drops!"
