It had been 2 weeks since we found out I was pregnant and Adam wasn't overly happy that I was still going out on cases.
As we walked through the junk yard I spotted the guy we needed to speak to. Speeding up I went up to him.
"Hey you need to come with us for a little chat" I said flashing my badge and grabbing his arm.
"I don't think so" he spat shoving me backwards.
Well that was it adam saw red and swung for him landing a punch to the side of this jaw. Jay pushed me out of the way before he grabbed Adam and Kevin grabbed the guy.
Adam being Adam managed to get out of jays hold, he grabbed the guys face and made him look at me.
"Say you are sorry" he said through clenched teeth.
"Sorry" he spat as the boys cuffed him.
As jay and Kevin was getting him in the back of the car Adam put his hand on my shoulder.
"You ok?" He asked as he controlled his breathing.
"Yeah I'm fine, you didn't have to punch him" I said leaning into him.
"Babe he shoved you and could have hurt you or our blob" he whispered "you know I don't like you being out here"
"I know but I will go stir crazy if I'm on desk duty for 9 months" I laughed as we walked to his truck.
"I just don't want anything happening to either of you" he sighed.
"There's still no need to punch people for me" I said "I can do that myself"
"That you can baby, that you can" he laughed leading me to the car.
"You calmed down punchy" Kevin laughed.
"Yeah for now" he shrugged

"Summer can you come here please" I asked flopping on the sofa.
"Am I in trouble mummy?" She asked sitting in my lap.
"No baby, you aren't in trouble" I laughed kissing her head "mummy just needs to talk to you"
As soon as Adam sat down that was it, she clambered into his lap.
"Oh that's it I know who the favourite is" I laughed poking her side. "Now mummy and daddy have something to talk to you about"
"Ok mummy?" She smiled snuggling into Adam.
"How would you like a little brother or sister?" Adam asked.
"Like a real one" she questioned.
"Yes baby a real one" Adam laughed.
"Well mummy is having a baby" I whispered watching her reaction.
"Where's the baby?" She asked.
"In mummy tummy princess" Adam said.
"I'm going to be a big sister" she shouted throwing her hands in the air
"You ok with that?" I asked.
"Yes mummy but I want a little sister boys are icky" she grinned. "Can I go play now?"
"Yes baby you can go play" I laughed kissing her head before she clambered down off the sofa.
"Well she took that better than I thought" I said cuddling into Adam's side.
"Tell me about it" he laughed. "What times erin coming round?"
"She should be here any time now" I said checking my watch. "You out with the boys tonight?"
"Nah just Kev, it's been a while since me and him hung out" he said
Just then the doorbell rang.
"It's open" I shouted.
"Still a lazy shit" Erin laughed as she walked in dropping her bag on the floor.
"Hell yes and don't expect me to change" I giggled.
"I'm gonna go meet Kev, I will see you later" Adam smiled kissing me before going to say bye to summer.
"How's things going now you are living together?" Erin asked as she sat down.
"Really good, like really really good" I grinned.
"What did I say in my kitchen after you first met him, that you would end up together" she smirked.
"Yeah and I didn't believe but my head and heart was in a dark place back then" I shrugged.
"Auntie rin" summer shouted running out her room. "Guess what I'm getting?"
Oh no why do I always forget summer can't keep a secret and the first person she tells is Erin.
"Don't you have homework?" I asked trying to distract her.
"No mummy did it with uncle tonio" she smirked.
"What you getting princess?" Erin asked scooping summer into her arms.
"I'm getting a little brother or sister. They are in mummy's tummy now" she beamed.
"Oh really" Erin said raising her eyebrow at me.
"I was gonna tell you" I said pulling the hood up on adams hoodie.
"H I already knew" Erin smiled at me.
"Wait how" I said peaking out of the hood.
"Well if you wasn't telling anyone yet you might want to move the baby scan off the fridge door when you invite people round" she laughed
"Oh fudge forgot about that" I laughed.
"How far along are you?" She asked.
"8 weeks now" I grinned.
"How's Adam take the news" she smiled.
"He's like an excited little puppy, I found out the day he found out he was meant to go undercover" I said pulling the hood down.
"That's why he pulled out" she laughed.
"Yeah he was having a melt down over missing everything and his head wouldn't have been in it" I said "he isn't happy with me still working though"
"I can imagine I know how protective he is over summer" she said leaning back.
"I cannot believe how good my life is now" I whispered "I didn't think the dark cloud would ever leave"
"I told you things would change you just didn't believe me. You going back home to England was the best thing you could have done. If I would have known I would have shipped your ass back to your mum a long time ago" she laughed.
