The sound of my letter box woke me up. Rubbing my eyes, I noticed I had fallen asleep on the sofa and Adam had his arms wrapped around me. Carefully I moved his arm from my waist so I could get off the sofa before trudging over to the door.
Flicking through the mail one letter caught my eye, ripping it open my heart stopped.
It was a letter from the court.
Quickly reading the letter tears built up in my eyes.
"Fuck" I screamed as I slammed the letter on the side waking Adam in the process.
"Heather what's wrong" he said huskily from just waking up.
"She actually meant it" I breathed trying not to lose my temper.
"Meant what?" Adam asked confused.
I couldn't say the words so I slid the letter over to him so he could read it.
"Shit" he mumbled before pulling me into his arms holding me tight. "It's ok she isn't going anywhere I won't let them take her"
"I can't lose my baby" I sighed into his chest.
"I'm gonna be here every step of the way promise" he whispered leaning his head against mine.
"What am I gonna do" I sighed.
"Want me to speak to Hank and see if he knows any decent solicitors" he whispered against my hair.
"No I will speak to him, I need to speak to him about something else as well" I whispered.
"Would that be about the spot that's open in the unit?" Adam asked raising his eyebrow. I knew what he was doing he was trying to take my mind off the letter.
"Maybe" I laughed wiggling out of his arms to put the kettle on.
"Please say you are joining us" he laughed leaning against the side.
"You'd like that wouldn't you" I smirked reaching up to get two mugs out of the top cupboard.
"Well yeah I'd get to see that ass everyday" he said cheekily as he slapped my bum.
"Watch it you" I laughed pointing a teaspoon at him.
"Whatcha gonna do spoon me to death" he breathed as he closed the gap between us before smashing his lips against mine taking me by surprise.
