9 months had passed and things were going well. Mine and Adam's relationship had gone from strength to strength, to the point he had actually moved in with me and summer.
Today Hank had given me a day off as my energy levels had plummeted over the last couple of days and I wasn't sure why. Hopefully a day of binge watching tv on the sofa would help.
"Baby I'm gonna head out" Adam said as I loaded Netflix.
"Ok, have a great day" I smiled as he leaned over giving me a kiss.
"Mummy" summer shouted running up to me and jumping on the sofa. "Feel better soon"
"I will baby, I'm sure after a day of resting I will be fine" I smiled kissing her head. "Now you be a good girl at school"
"Come on daddy or we are gonna be late" she giggled taking his hand.

Deciding it would be best if I went to the doctors, here I was sat in the waiting room.
"Ms Middleton" the doctor called.
Following him into the room I smiled as I sat down.
"What can I do for you today?" Dr Campbell asked.
"I think I'm anaemic" I said "over the last month I have constantly been exhausted"
"Ok let's get a in house blood test done" he nodded.
After 20 minutes I was sat back in the room waiting for the results.
"Ok ms Middleton I have your results and can I ask when your last period was?" He asked.
That's when the penny dropped. We had been so busy with Adam moving in it completely skipped my mind.
"Urm 2 months ago but I put it down to stress of my boyfriend moving in with me" I sighed.
"Well the reason you are so fatigued is you are pregnant" he smiled.
And just like that my world flipped on it's head and this wouldn't be the last bit of news that would receive today.
"Right ok" I sighed.
"Here's the number of the maternity unit so you can arrange your appointment" he said sliding a card over to me.

"Summer can you go get ready for bed whilst I talk to mummy" Adam smiled as she ran into her room.
"This doesn't sound good" I said crossing my legs.
"Yeah I've been posted on an undercover operation" he sighed.
"Ok how long for?" I asked.
"6 months if all goes well but you know how they can drag on longer" he whispered.
"When do you have to leave?" I asked.
"Tomorrow afternoon, baby I swear I only found out today" he said taking my hands in his.
This was the last thing I needed especially after finding out I was pregnant.
"I'm gonna go for a shower can you sort summer out for bed" I whispered getting up off the sofa. I needed to process what he just told me otherwise I'd blow up.
I don't know how long I had been stood under the water but I heard the shower door open and adam wrapped his arms around me not saying anything. How could I tell him I was pregnant now when he was going undercover it would completely throw his mind.
"It's six months" I cried breaking the silence.
"I know baby, I know. I will be fine though" he whispered.
"I just need you here with me" I whispered as I complemented telling him. He needed to know it was just shitty timing.
"Baby what's going on" he said.
Taking a deep breath. It was now or never.
"I went to the doctors today, as I thought I was anaemic" I whispered.
"What did the doctor say?" He asked stroking my head.
"I'm not anaemic, turns out I'm pregnant" I mumbled.
"Wait what?" He said in shock.
"I didn't want to tell you stood in the shower" I half laughed.
"You are being serious right now" he said placing his hand on my stomach.
"Yes I am being serious" I whispered "it's just shitty timing with you going undercover tomorrow"
"I can back out" he said.
"No baby, you need to do this, these missions do not come up very often" I said "it's just gonna be hard without you and you know worrying about you"
"I really don't want to go now" he sighed "I want to be here with you. I'm going to miss everything"
"If we have luck on our side then it might get pushed back a couple of months at least" I half laughed "the decision is yours at the end of the day"
"Just let me hold you" he whispered pulling me into his arms, wrapping my arms around his back I leant my head against his shoulder as he ran his hands through my wet hair.
In the space of a day our world had completely flipped on its head and I wasn't sure how to cope with it.
"What are we gonna do?" I asked wrapping a towel around my body.
"I'm gonna speak to Hank see if we can push the operation back any" he said kissing my bare shoulder. "Everything is going to be ok"
"I hope so" I mumbled walking out of the bathroom.
Finding out you are pregnant should be exciting yet the news of Adam going undercover out a judge dampener on the whole situation.
About half an hour later Adam came into the bedroom.
"I've spoken to Hank and asked to see if I can join the operation a bit later. I've not told him why but he's gonna see what he can do" he nodded as he climbed into bed.
"I cannot believe the timing" I sighed.
"I know it's shit but we will make this work" he smiled "I just cannot believe you are pregnant and we are going to have a baby"
"You excited?" I laughed.
"Babe I'm buzzing I might not be showing it but trust me I am. I'm going to be a daddy" he grinned.
"You already are a daddy" I smiled snuggling into him.
