Having seen their toughest leader fall to a bird who they claimed was a weakling, the rest the the military Macaws gave up the fight. The lead bird asked Eduardo for a truce, which Eduardo readily gave him. He understood that Terrin used them for his own personal vengeance and that they had no reason to want to deal with Blu as Terrin did.

Blu went immediately down to where Jewel had fallen and saw that she hadn't awakened yet. Mimi was trying to shake Jewel awake, but Blu stopped her by telling her about the broken wing. Roberto had apparently made a connection with Jasmine, for they were standing there hugging each other while watching Jewel.

Slowly, but surely, Jewel began to wake up on her own. She whined a little at the pain her wing caused her, but otherwise, she was fine. "Did we win?" She asked as she stood up.

Blu just nodded, being depressed.

"Blu, what is the matter?" Jasmine asked.

He had no idea how to tell Jasmine the news, and he really couldn't get himself to say another word. Blu just walked over to the only family he had left on his side, hugged her tight, and cried. He cried his heart out.

"Blu, why are you crying," Jasmine wanted to know.

Blu stopped hugging Jasmine, looked at her with his watery eyes, and said brokenheartedly, "They're... Mom and Dad are... (sniff) gone."

"What?" Now Jasmine was beginning to cry.

"Terrin finished them. Killed them."

Jasmine started crying herself, giving Blu a hug. She didn't want to ever let go of him; he was her only family member left.

Jewel, the kids, Eduardo -- they all huddled in and gave their deepest sympathies to Blu. They all at one point or another felt his pain. Eduardo lost his own wife and Jewel years ago, though Jewel came back.

After several minutes of mourning for Blu's parents, Roberto suggested that they go home and rest. It had been a long day, and Blu and Jasmine needed some time to themselves. Everyone readily agreed and returned to their normal life.

---------------

A lone female bird landed inside a hollow, where she was apparently looking for someone. Having not found the one she was looking for, the bird flew back outside to her motley group of friends.

"She should've been here," the bird said. "That's definitely her stache of nuts. Spread out and find her."
