Dancing in the Rain

We pulled up outside the motel just as it began to rain. Sam and Dean were a pot of water about to boil over the edge. I sat in the back trying to make myself smaller. It wasn't often that the two got in real fights, but I really don't like it when they do.

Dean parked the car, and immediately started yelling at Sam. He got out and Sam followed. I stayed a moment, the grab the duffle bags, before trailing inside.

I set the bags down, and went into the bathroom, I knew that it would be best if I just stayed out of the way. Sitting on the bathroom floor, and leaning up against the wall; I listened to the rain and I listened to them yell at each other.

I don't even know what they are yelling about anymore, maybe things that happened before I joined them, maybe the future, or maybe they are just yelling. After about an hour, I have had enough, they can carry on shouting as long as they damn well please but I'm going out. It's too stuffy in here anyways.

I unlatch the bathroom door as quietly as I can and make a break for the front door. I am so lucky that I grabbed my coat, the car keys, and my jacket before they noticed. And with that I slipped outside without their notice.

I could still hear them yelling just less so. I sank down on the cold wet cement to slip on my black combat boots. I can hear them again, I think they're yelling something about me and Cas... something about this something about that.

I avoid fights with lots of yelling. When Dean and I fight, I just let him be mad. I told him, when we first started dating,

"You can be mad all you like, you can do whatever you want to deal with it. But if the coping method you choose lands you in another woman's bed, stay with her, you have no place to return to with me," And that's just how it is. So I let the boys scream and shout all they want, I just stay out of it.

I pick myself up from the cold ground, and watch the rain pour down for just a moment. I make a plan in my head, but in order to fulfil it I'll need a few more things from inside.

I contemplate for a minute, if it's worth going inside. Finally I decide that I might as well. So I push the door back open again, take my duffle bag, cell phone, and wallet and leave at once. They did not notice.

I go to the lobby of the motel and ask for the phonebook. I find the nicest hotel in town, and step outside to place a reservation for one night, one sleeper, in a nice clean, comfortable room.
I pull up to the fancy hotel in Dean's oh-so-precious Impala, and park in their covered parking area. I check in at the front desk, the lady asks me

"Rough day sweetie?"

"You've no idea! Are there any good movies on pay-per-view I can rent tonight,"

She laughs and gives me her input on the matter, then hands me a room key and gives me directions to the room. And finally tells me to get some rest.

I go to the room, it's beautiful and on the 16th floor so I have a fairly nice view. I toss my stuff down, and take a long hot shower in the sparkly clean bathroom. I use all their complementary shampoo's and soaps and even blow dry my hair.

Then I wear my biggest pair of pajama pants and great big sweater to keep warm. I order room service, but I decide against renting a movie instead
I spend the time eating my not-dinner-food and drawing on my sketch pad.
It's about 11:30 when the thought hits me. Crap! I forgot to turn off the tracker in my phone. I turn it off ASAP, not that I don't want them to know where I am and be worried. It's just I want to spend tonight on my own. Away from all their yelling and anger. When they are calm I'll go back. It's not like they can get very far. I mean I've got the car and the keys.

I fell asleep that night ensconced in the clean, warm bedding of a four star hotel. I have to say, it was one of the best sleeps I've had in ages. When I woke up the next morning, I used the hotels telephone to call the boys motel room. Dean answered the phone sounding exhausted.

"Dean," I say slightly amused peeking out my window to see that it was till pouring rain out.

"(y/n)!" he cried out "(y/n) we are so worried about you. Where did you go?"

I laughed a bit, he probably won't agree with my acti0ns but won't be able to argue or complain.

"Can you please come back?' he begs

"And if it was you that took Baby, bring her back too,"

"Well I dunno Dean, are you and Sam still acting like children?"

"No, we worked it out. And we are both really sorry that it got so bad that you left, (y/n0. It'll never happen again,"

"Well now that's a load of bull shit," I replied. But before he could speak I cut him off. "Dean, you and Sam are brothers, you're supposed to get into fights every now and then,"

Dean sighed. "Are you going to come back?"

"Are you going to behave?"

"Yes."

"Good, then I'll be there as soon as I'm done with my complementary oriental breakfast," I say with an air of superiority.

"Breakfast?" I hear him say as I replace the receiver in the cradle for the phone.
I laughed to myself, as I left the room to go down and enjoy said breakfast. I left the luxury hotel, the sky was still dark and rain thundered down from the clouds.

When I pulled up outside the motel, I just barely stepped out of the car before Dean came bounding our into the rain, to catch me in a bone crushing embrace.

He kissed me hard, and spun me around in the rain soaked air. We stood there dancing slowly in circles in the rain.
