We got home yesterday just as the rain began to pour down, and today when we woke up it was still storming out there.
(y/n) decided that today she was going to finish the last book of a series she had followed sense she was a kid. So she cuddled herself up on the couch with her brick of a book and a cup of hot cocoa.
Sam had to go grocery shopping, and to the library so it was just me and my sweetie today.
I wasn't a big fan of the series she was about to finish up, I read a few of them, they weren't bad, just not my thing. Instead I picked up my own book and sat in the arm chair in the living room.
We peer over the tops of our books, silently judging each other on speed. She wears a look of concentration on her face when she reads. It's very cute. When she reads a sad part tears shimmer in her eyes, but she doesn't shed them. When she reads something funny, the corners of her lips quirk up and little crinkles form in the corners of her eyes.
When I'm reading my book, I think she looks at me and studies my own features when I read specific things. I really like rainy days like these. They are comfortable, and a good mini vacation from our hectic lives.
