Tear Tracks at Two
Dean woke from him sleep for a reason unknown to him. A soft sound coming from the window caused him to be apprehensive... He reached an arm out behind him, seeking the warm flesh of (y/n) his girlfriend.
But when his hand reached her place on their bed, it found only cold bedsheets. Dean sat up and looked to the window. To see (y/n), standing up and leaning on the window sill, head in her hands. Softly crying, and letting her tears drip onto her toes.
Dean called into he darkness, "Hey. (Y/n). What's wrong?"
She sniffed, and whipped her head around. "Oh my god. Dean I'm sorry. I didn't mean to wake you up," she whispered. "Go back to sleep honey, I'm fine,"
"Oh yeah sure, I'll do that. Right after I jump out of a plane with no parachute," he said getting up to come over to her.
She turned to face him, leaning on the window sill. Her face and eyes still glistened with tears.
"Tell me what's wrong, baby," he whispered sliding his arms around her hips, placing his head on top of hers.
She gave into him, and laid her head on his bare chest and wrapped her arms around him. She gave a few little sobs.
"Baby? I have to know what's wrong to fix it," Dean gently urged.
"I-I don't know.... I can't sleep. I can't shut off my head. Everything is stressing me out and I can't stop. And... And... I,"
"Shhhh shhh shhhh," Dean whispered. "I understand. It's okay, baby. Everything is okay,"
She held him tighter, and continued to cry. Dean scooped her up, bridal style, "Up we go," he whispered. And carried her to the bed. " and down," he said as he sat down.
Dean cradled her like a child, and said "Listen to my words. Think about my words," she sniffed and nodded. Then he began to softly sing a song she had never heard before.
"Light from long-dead stars
Still journeys so far.
Celestial are the hearts,
Still love when love's passed..."
His sweet voice began to dull her stresses, and she tipped her head.
"You are my rosary,
You are my rosary.
I would abandon the moon,
Turning my back to the light
Till it's just me and the dark
Before your heart,
Here tonight."
A yawn escaped her lips.
"I would abandon the moon,
Raise up the stars from their space
Till it's just me and the dark
Before your heart
Here in this place.
Then you would be all I see.
Love is all I need,
Your touch, your heart.
Love is all I want,
One light still on.
You are my rosary,
But you were not sent for me..."
(Y/n) was in a state of total relaxation. But yet asleep. She wanted to hear the end of the song.
"I would abandon the moon,
Turning my back to the light
Till it's just me and the dark
Before your heart,
Here tonight.
I would abandon the moon,
Raise up the stars from their space
Till it's just me and the dark
Before your heart
Here in this place.
Then you would be all I see.
Then you would be all I see"
When the song finished, (y/n) was fast asleep, curled up like a kitten with Dean holding her. Dean did not let her go, for fear of her waking. Instead he slid down and fell asleep once more holding her.
