-4 weeks/about a month after their movie night-

Leo's POV:
Christmas break off of school just started yesterday. Jake said he had to go home for the holidays, and left this morning. I had been missing Jake but I knew we would see each other before break ended. I had to leave to see my family in 2 days, so I needed to start packing things for the trip. As I was going to pack, I started feeling nauseous and laid down.

I woke up an hour later feeling better and start packing my bags. Once everything was packed I started making myself dinner. I decided to make some mac and cheese and started boiling the water. When it was ready I put in the ingredients and stired. As I scooped it into a bowl, and realized I was starving and got extra. I took my food to the couch and turned on the tv. Once I was done eating my dinner I called Jake.

"Hey baby!" Jake says happily.

"Are you there yet?" I ask.

"Yeah, I got here about an hour ago." he replied.

"How is your family doing?" I ask, wanting to know more.

"It has been fun to hang out with my brother and sister again." he says with excitement in his voice. "How has your bre-" Jake starts to say as I interrupt him.

"I need to do something but I'll call you in the morning. Sorry!" I said hanging up and running to the bathroom. I started to throw up my dinner in the toilet.

"Why do I feel sick?" I muttered out loud.

Once I emptied my stomach I started feeling better and went back to my room. I quickly called my doctor and set up an appointment for tomorrow morning.

Jake's POV:
After Leo hung up I went back to our Christmas party. I was a little worried about how he ended the call but he shook the thought away and went back to partying. I ate and danced with my family and friends, wishing my omega could be with me. I went to bed wanting to call Leo but I assumed he was already asleep. I would just have to wait until morning to hear my mate's voice again.

I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing. I looked at my phone to see that Leo was calling and answered immediately.

"Good morning, alpha!" Leo said, enthusiastically.

"How is your morning going baby?" I asked tiredly.

"I've been ok, but mornings aren't the same without you." He whimpered in to the phone.

"I feel the same way! I miss you so much!" I replied.

"I can't wait to see you in a week." My mate whispered.

"I'm counting the days!" I said, trying to sound happy.

"I have to go soon, but we can talk tomorrow! Bye Jake!" Leo explained.

"Bye baby!" I said, feeling sad.

Once he hung up I got dressed and headed downstairs for breakfast. I knew that with out Leo, this was going to be a long week.

Leo's POV:
As I hung up the phone I headed to my closet to grab some clothes. I grabbed a a pair of jeans and put them on, but when I buttoned them they felt a little tight. I went and looked in my full body mirror as I saw my stomach had gotten bigger. It wasn't that much bigger but I could see the difference. I quickly put on a baggy sweatshirt, feeling self conscious.

I got in my car and drove to the doctors office. They had me fill out some paperwork and called my name when they were ready to see me. They took me back to a room and the nurse started asking questions.

"I need to measure your height and weight." The nurse stated.

I got up and she measured my height, I was still 5'8. Then I reluctantly walked to the scale knowing I had gained weight. I stepped on and realized I hand gained 12 pounds, I felt like crying. I got off the scale as she wrote things down.

"Why did you come here today?" The nurse asked politely.

"I threw up last night so I wanted to see if anything was wrong." I replied to her.

"Have you had any other symptoms?" She questioned as she was writing.

"I have been more hungry lately." I said, honestly.

"Have you been sexually active in the last month?" The nurse asked.

I nodded my head as I started blushing. She giggled, which made me blush more.

"I will go talk to the doctor and we will be back momentarily." She said walking out the door.
