Chapter 7: How Did This Happen

Jake's POV:
I walked downstairs to see my mom and dad sitting at the dining table. I said good morning to them and headed to the kitchen to grab some cereal. I poured the milk, got a spoon, and walked back to the table. During the time I had gotten cereal, Hannah, my sister had sat at the table. We all had started eating our food when my brother, Colten, walked into the kitchen. We had a nice breakfast and talked about Christmas ideas.

Once our conversation was over I headed back to my room to wrap a few extra presents. I got done with wrapping presents quickly and started a movie. My alpha senses were telling me to be with my mate and I started to get a head ache.

Leo's POV:
A few minutes later the doctor walks back and asks for a urine sample. I pee in the cup and bring it back to her. Then she leaves me waiting in the room again. The doctor finally comes back in the room and sits down.

"Did you figure out what's wrong?" I asked, nervously.

"All of your symptoms were symptoms that your are pregnant so I did a pregnancy test... and it was positive!" The doctor said smiling at me.

"P-pregnant?" I questioned.

"It is actually quite common for a male omega to become pregnant." She stated, reassuringly.

"Can I see the baby?" I asked getting excited.

"Yes, lay down and pull you sweatshirt up." She said as she grabbed the ultrasound machine and some gel.

I laid on the table and pulled my shirt up as she pored the cold gel on my stomach. The doctor started moving the ultrasound wand over my stomach until she saw the baby on the screen. Once she found the baby, she moved the screen towards me to see.

"You're actually having triplets!" She said moving the wand for me to see the babies.

"Are those my babies?" I said as a tear rolled down my cheek.

"Yeah, and in a few weeks you can know the genders." She said, happily.

"How far along am I?"

"About 5-6 weeks."

All I could mumble through the tears was, "Thank you"

I just sat there looking at the little, white blobs on the screen and crying. I was so happy to know I was pregnant, until I remembered Jake. I decided to hide my pregnancy until I was ready. I thought Jake wouldn't love me anymore and leave me and the babies all alone. I knew I should trust my mate more, but I was scared.

Once I was done looking at the babies, the doctor handed me a picture of them. I had so many emotions going through me as I left the doctors office.

Jake's POV:
It had only been 3 hours since I had talked to Leo but I was missing him. The pain in my head was getting worse every time I thought of Leo. I needed to do something productive so I got up and went for a walk.

When I got home some of my friends, Sophie(beta) and Aaron(alpha), had stopped by to see me. We went up to my room and started talking about what we had missed.

"Have you met your mate yet?!" Sophie asked excitedly; she was always talking about mates and being in love.

"Yeah..." I replied in a whisper.

"Who?" Aaron said, joining the conversation.

"His name is Leo, I love him a lot." I said, blushing.

"That's cute, but haven't you always wanted kids?" Aaron asked me.

"Male omegas can still get pregnant you know." Sophie said like it was obvious.

"They can?!" I asked quickly.

"Yeah! Any gender omega can get pregnant." Sophie replied.

"I hope he wants to have kids some day." I said quietly.
