Chapter 2: Maybe More

Leo's POV:
I woke up the next day, in my nest, to the sound of my phone ringing. I looked and saw Jake's number but I didn't want to answer.

I got a text a few seconds later saying, "Are you ok?"

About a minute later I responded saying, "Sorry I can't come today"

"I just wanted to make sure you were safe since you didn't answer the phone" Jake texted back.

"I started to get sick last night and don't feel good this morning" I texted back.

"I could come over an take care of you if you want!" He said.

I knew I shouldn't let an alpha in my room during heat, but the idea of him cuddling me was irresistible. When your in heat you want your mate to be with you. But I had only known Jake for a week, so I was confused why my body would want him so much... until I realized that he was my mate.

"Fine, just be careful" I said after sending him my address.

I decided I needed to put some clothes on so he didn't see me completely naked. Though the idea of seeing Jake naked turned me on, but he might not know we're mates. I got nervous for him to come over because if he couldn't control himself, I had no way of stopping him. A few minutes after I had gotten dressed and laid back into my nest I heard a knock on the door. I got up and went to let Jake in, but when I opened the door his scent hit me so hard that I fainted.

Jake's POV:
I could hear Leo moving towards the door to open it, but once I saw him he fainted into my arms. I could smell him and his room and realized he was in heat. My body was trying to get me to mate with him but I was resisting as hard as it could. I picked Leo's body up and walked into the room, I saw a pile of blankets and other soft items and laid him on it. He snuggled back into his pillow, which was super cute.

I watched him lay down and looked at all of his features. Leo was blond and about 5'8, which was shorter than my 6'1. Leo was pretty skinny, not like he had a six pack or anything but he was the perfect weight for his height. All he was wearing was a t-shirt and boxers. He looked sweaty and his face was a little red. I knew if an omega's mate touched them during heat it would cool him down so I sat down next to him and started rubbing his back. He flinched but realized it was okay and let me keep rubbing.

Leo's POV:
I kept drifting in and out of conciseness after I fainted. I could tell I was laying in my safe nest. Then all the sudden I felt something really cold touch my back. I couldn't tell what it was until I realized it was Jake, my mate, trying to help. It felt good so I let him rub my back for a little longer until I decided I needed answers. I slowly started to sit up and I could feel Jake spotting me to make sure I could sit.

Once I was to the position I wanted to be in I looked at him and said, "Are we mates?"

"Yes, I could sense that you were my mate in class yesterday." Jake said smiling at me. His smiling always made me want to smile, but now it made me feel different. It made my body's want for him so much stronger.

"Thank you for not hurting me, this must be really hard for you!" I said worried for him.

"It's not too bad right now, but it could get worse" he said, sighing.

"Can you stay for a while?" I said, hoping he would say yes.

"Sure. But if I think I might lose control, I will leave" he said in a serious tone.

"Can you cuddle me for now?" I said laying down. Jake moved behind me and laid down, starting to rub my back again. His hand was cooling me down and it felt great. My body was longing for him to touch me more, but he only rubbed my back. After a while I got tired and shut my eyes.
