Chapter 8: Famliy Time

Leo's POV:
I got home from the doctor and decided to take a warm shower. Once I was clean I put on some pajamas and sat on my bed. I realized I should call Jake and picked up my phone.

"Hi Jake!" I said sweetly.

"Hey baby!" He responded.

"How was your day?" I asked.

"I got to talk to some old friends." Jake replied.

"That sounds nice." I said almost crying. I had realized I needed my alpha in the state I was in.

"How has your day gone?" My alpha asked.

"It's been g-good." I replied as a tear rolled down my cheek. "I need sleep so I c-can drive to my parents' house tomorrow. Good night..."

"Love you, good night!" Jake said right before I hung up.

Once I set the phone down, the flood gates opened. I started crying for Jake to cuddle me and love me, but I was all alone. I hugged myself into a tight ball and fell asleep crying.

Jake's POV:
Calling Leo helped my headache go away and calmed down my alpha senses. I was happy to hear my omega's voice, even though he sounded sad. I knew I should let him rest for his drive tomorrow. I laid in bed thinking about our future together. Thinking of him satisfied my need for him, and I fell asleep happy.

Leo's POV:
I woke up and looked at the time, it was 8:16 AM. I decided I needed to leave the house by 9:00 AM if I wanted to get there by lunchtime. I quickly ate breakfast, got dressed, and got in the car.

After 3 hours of driving, I had gotten to my parents' house. I pulled into the driveway and got out of the car. I saw Angie's car and my parents' car, meaning they were already here. I took a breath and knocked on the door. Less than 10 seconds later my mom opened the door.

"Our baby is home!" She yelled and pulled me in for a hug.

"Hi mom." I replied as my dad and sister walked into the room.

We all got into a big group hug and started talking about what our Christmas plans were. My mom explained when we would have family over and what Christmas parties we had to go to. I started to feel sick and asked to be excused.

I went into the bathroom and started puking. Once my breakfast was out of me, I washed my hands and face, and walked out of the bathroom. I got back to the table to see my family laughing. I smiled and sat back down to hear more about our Christmas plans.

Jake's POV:
I woke up at 10:54 AM and realized our family was having a Christmas party at noon. I quickly took a shower, got dressed in something Christmas themed, and headed down stairs. There was about 30 minutes until the party started and everyone was rushing to finish the food, cleaning, and presents. Hannah was cooking the food, mom was cleaning up, and Colten and dad were wrapping presents.

Guests started arriving and everyone was having a good time. I saw cousins, aunts, uncles, and some of my grandparents. I hadn't seen most of them since last Christmas, so I was happy to hang out with them.
