Sometimes the subway is like a zoo
The man opened his eyes and feeling relieved that Roberta had left. He had wanted to ask Roberta to chat but was too nervous and ended up passing out. Everyone in the subway helped him up and made sure he was okay. He said he was fine and waited until his stop to get off. He went home thinking of ways to befriend Roberta. They worked in the same department store, but she had never even seen him because he worked on unloading the big u-hauls filled with thousands of boxed items. He went to bed thinking he could maybe ask the manager to try out the shelving job for a couple shifts. The next day he asked his easy going manager if he could try the shelving job for a bit. His request was accepted and he started working with glee. When he had around half a shelf restocked Roberta came to help. He timidly introduced himself and they were friends ever since.
